mmm....Alaskan Amber. Also picked up some Alaskan Amber in honor of my upcoming move.
Not a big fan of most Sam Adams but I absolutely love their Brown Ale and their Winter Lager is pretty good, too.mmm....Alaskan Amber.
Bought some kind of variety pack of Sam Adams over the weekend. Everything I've had was about the quality I expected: good, but nothing great.
Had some kind of long island at the bar last night but with peach schnapps in it. very yummy.
Looking forward to the Arena (bar in Ann Arbor) this evening. They usually have something good on tap...hopefully Founder's Porter.
So I bought some KBC Widowmaker for this weekend, but I paid $8.99 for a sixer.
Probably won't do that again anytime soon, but it'll be nice to have Fooper beer for the upcoming weekend of <STRIKE>hockey</STRIKE> fail.
That's the only thing I don't like about KBC, it's on the pricier end. But then again, I get it so rarely that I don't mind as much as I should.

It's funny you should say this. I was pumped about the $2.75 KBC drafts I had last night after the <s>failed abortion</s> game. Then again, I was literally yards from the source, so it makes sense.
I assume you mean in MN, because my last six months in Fooperdom I used to be able to get the cans for $6.79 (and the $6 growler fills were an even better deal, given the increased variety). I remember my junior year I could sometimes get it at $5.99/six, but then the hop shortage took effect.
They're up to $2.75? That's a little disappointing to hear, but costs must've gone up again because a quarter is still pretty low. Most micro taprooms easily charge $4+ a pint.
And yeah, I know the transport and distribution costs are probably high to keep the beer fresh as it makes its way downstate 500 miles. They'll only be rising too, as gas prices creep up again.
I was at the Ambassador, not the KBC.
Where did you find it? My fridge would like some more beer in it.So I bought some KBC Widowmaker for this weekend, but I paid $8.99 for a sixer.

Or, I'll just take the dirt road (Lake Angelus) down to Baldwin and truck north until I find it.
Orion Keg & Wine, a well-stocked party store on Baldwin Rd. between the Waldon Rd. and Clarkston Rd intersections. Basically, you get off 75 at Great Lakes Crossing and drive north a couple miles until you see the sign out front. It's not your typical dumpy party store - it's a newer brick building and the owners are Chaldean. Pretty good beer & wine selection, and the liquor shelves behind the counter are fairly wide as well. I've seen several Michigan microbrews there (Bells, New Holland, Founders, Dark Horse, Shorts and now KBC), plus a decent mix of other domestics and foreign imports.
