Saranac 12-pack variety. Yummmmm.
I feel bad for you if this is considered "quality" beer. Saranac is not in any way, "Yummmmm"

I've been enjoying Three Philosophers and Anchor Steam Ale the past few nights. Delicious.

Re: Official Drinking Thread Pt 5: Four Horsemen + Jerry: It's called The Voltron!

On hand: Sprecher Special Amber, Breckenridge Vanilla Porter and NB 2 Below.

Had this beer at Balthazar in NYC, Corsen donk.

Might be the best beer I've ever had.

Normally, I'm not a big fan of Harpoon stuff, but I found something at a market known for having a vast, vast, VAST beer selection, and I'd never seen it before.

Harpoon Chocolate Stout. It tastes what it sounds like...lots of chocolate malt, very heavy, very rich. If you're into the heavy stuff...this beer was made for you.

Blue Hills Brewery out of Canton, Mass is a great brewery that I discovered over the summer. They have only been around for about a year. Their IPA is GOOD! They also have one of the best red ales I have ever tasted. This is the first Massachusetts micro that matches what I was used to back home in Colorado.

Summit Winter Samplers for $11.99 at Lake Aire Bottle Shop in Duluth.

I stocked up. Merry Christmas, Me.

2 Below: not impressive to me, as a seasonal beer. I expected more. It's still good, but when I think seasonal, I think a better beer than their normal line.

To each their own. :) I easily like it more than Fat Tire, Mothership, Sunshine and the Skinny, like it about as much as Trippel, 1554 and Abby, and not as much as the Hoptober and Arrow. Haven't yet tried Blue Paddle or Frambozen.

Drank a bit too much yesterday, but it was fun.

Never Summer, 2 Below, Fat Tire and some free shot (Jag Float).

Apparently I am a bit too regular to the bar as they hung up a stocking for me. :o

No new booze updates, but I did finally get a flask for Christmas, so the number of potential drinking hours just expanded into the entire day. :D

If your number of potential drinking hours didn't already include the entire day, you were doing it wrong. :p

Amen! Tomorrow a signifigant # of hours will be taken up by this activity for me. :D

Had a bottle of Delirium Tremens on Christmas, which was voted the world's perfect beer back in 1998 or something. It was good, but for that class/style of beer I prefer Chimay.

I'll take your Chimay and raise it a Lost Abbey Judgement Day.

Ah, not sure about that one. Is there a place in the TC that has it? I'm always game for a recommendation.

I was reminded recently of a store called "Four Firkins" in St Louis Park, which deals in small-time beers/etc. Maybe it's there?

All I know is, I'll have to check out the store sometime. I guess they do special orders, also.
