Something about promotional material, or gouging on giveaways, or something. I don't really know why, but I like the result.

New Belgium Abbey/Trippel to go along with a trifecta of hockey watching: Tech, DU, and MN games on tv tonight.

And BPH left a couple KBC cans (Brown Ale and Widowmaker) behind. Whoopseedrizzle. Those will be saved for later. :D

We were at the OC again last night. This time in Southgate. They have the Amber on tour there. Cans, of course. If we weren't heading up next weekend, I'd have gone for it.

Don't save those KBC cans for too long. I recently purchased a six of them a week ago only to discover that they had gone skunk. Guessing the reason why I've been seeing them in Busch's in Tecumseh for a while now is that they haven't been selling well, and its been the same cans there. :(

More of a September beer than a December beer (a little too thin for my winter tastes), but still pretty good.

'Nog has been made and consumed. Helping soothe the bruised feelings after a 1pt weekend for BU and a loss by the Pats.

Experimented today: Sambuca and Red Bull, as the taste of Buca is similar to Jager. However, I enjoy the flammable properties of Sambuca, so I attempted to create the Fire Bomb. Wasn't nearly as successful as I'd hoped, so the Fire Bomb shall never be repeated.

As a consolation prize: Shipyard Prelude...decent Winter Ale, but I still place Smuttynose as the winner of New England Micros for a winter brew.

Bought some Carollan's (spelling?) Friday night. Half gone by Saturday night. mmm.

About 40% cheaper than Bailey's and in my opinion 10% better tasting. (I like both.....a lot). mmmm

IIRC, it's the exact same thing (same company and everything), but the marketing for Bailey's adds to the cost (signature name of that style of booze, like Jack Daniel's for American whiskey, or Stoli for vodka, etc).

Tonight it's Chieftain's scotch. I'd never heard of it. But at the store a manager came over and said, "Want to taste a few, to help you decide?" :D :D :D Long story (and a long nap later that day) short, I got this 14 yr whisky way out of my price range. Guess I have to drink it now.

Can't diss on that tonight... Took part in $3 pitchers of Bud tonight... This falls under a "Quantity" vs "Quality" night :D
