Gayer than this?

I find that hard to believe.

Way gayer.

What is your problem with Manowar!? Other than the fact that they are gayer beyond gay.

Yay for beer! It helps me cope with the fact that I hold 2 official and 1 unofficial titles at work.

I'm gonna guess that the problem isn't necessarily with the band itself, but that Freddie Mercury called and said they're gay.

Just guessin'... :)

This year's first batch of Founders' Breakfast Stout is a little rough around the edges.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Left Hand Milk Stout is pretty good. So is Point Belgian White. Lagunitas Copper Ale up next, along with a re-viewing of Inglourious Basterds.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Left Hand Milk Stout is very good and wait, what - you bought Point?

Yeah. It was a BYO sixer, and I hadn't had that style of Point. It's not a bad little brewery, actually (have had others by them). Nothing outstanding, but not terrible at all.

I had some Mike's Hard Lemonade this weekend for the first time since high school. I was on a boat, it was approaching triple digit temperatures with a cloudless sky, and it was a very refreshing change of pace. It wasn't as sugary as I remember.

I won't be running out to buy any just to have around the house, but would consider it again for all day hot weather drinking events.

I don't even have a problem with how gay they are, I just find that to be an unbelievably hilarious picture and it seemed appropriate to post given the context.

It's one of the greatest band photos of all time.

Sipping a Lagunitas Little Sumpn Sumpn Ale. Pretty good.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

I've heard good things about Lagunitas but have yet to try. Where did you pick it up?

It's around at a few places, I picked up a make your own sixer at the store off of Cedar Lake Road and Hopkins Crossroads, by the Lone Spur. Only bought one bottle, but it was good.

Haven't had any other Lagunitas, though.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

I've had a few Lagunitas singles. Decent for the < $2 price.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Buffalo Sweat Stout - quite good. Not as thick as Guinness, but it had some of the same charred malt/coffee flavors.

For the rest of that evening's beer: I wasn't a fan of the Beck's Oktoberfest, since it tasted like someone made Beck's and then dropped in some extra malt syrup at the last minute. The Bell's Oktoberfest wasn't that impressive, more thin than the others and fairly unremarkable, and the Lake Superior Oktoberfest was alright but had a wheaty finish - if you like that sort of thing, go for it.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

So had a bonfire last night where we cooked steaks over the open fire. I think between the three of us we ended up cooking 5 steaks all prepared differently.

Ended up having a bunch of different boozes: two types of scotch (including a $90 a bottle stuff), booker's bourbon, and a couple others. Plus we made some Blind Russians and had Surly's.

What an epic night.

What kind of scotches?

How's that Booker's Bourbon? I've been meaning to try it...
