Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

So I got a bottle of this for my birthday (a buncha months ago). The vodka itself was... kinda crappy.

But this might be the best packaging for anything, ever.

Dude. It's a skull.

Yep, saw that at the local Jewel actually and thought about purchasing it... The $50 is more than I would like to spend on a vodka, but it's **** cool...

Must. Have.

November can't be here soon enough.
I almost killed the entire growler of the 36 Schilling myself Labor Day weekend. :)

I think I'll go find the other three growlers we have and get them in the fridge for this weekend. Nothing special going on... they just need to be emptied.

For those of you that enjoy the KBC, the Hobo Express they're brewing this fall is pretty good.
Also, the 36 Schilling Scotch Ale will be available in cans soon, and will now be known as The Old Ore Dock Scotch Ale, a nod to the Marquette area.

Five Lane Strip Mall Scotch Ale would've been a better title. :p ;)

Good friend drinks dirty martinis exclusively and is very into skulls, so she got one. Had the same reaction as you regarding the vodka, but she uses it to decant red wine now; it looks great!

A skull full of red wine?! Nicccccccccccce.

Local LQ continues to offer Red Hook at $6.99 for a sixer. Not my favorite, but when I don't want to pay $8+ it's a great alternative.

Finishing off the left overs of New Glarus Beer from last weekend. It is only 4 bottles.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

A couple of Ithaca Beer Company's IPA always is a great start to the weekend.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Had the Old Boys' Brewhouse Oktoberfest after my half-marathon today; it was awesome.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Good day at the liquor store. Bought back up beer (Miller Lite), Arrogant Bastard and a bottle of Jack for the hubby. In addition to going to the bar and while waiting at the pizzeria and drinking in the bar there, it should be a great night.

I thought you bought backup beer?

Got voted off of DD duty, we're cabbing it. So, starting with Three Philosophers, and probably having a Deschutes Black Butte Porter or two.

That is my too drunk to know what I am drinking "beer".

On hand for the evening: Sierra Nevad Autumn Tumbler, Anchor Steam Humming Ale and Summit Unchained Golden Ale. All worth the price of admission.

how does the Sierra Nevada taste.... I avoid Sierra Nevada because they seem to be exclusively IPA beers... and i can't handle beers where they dump in the hops.

The Tumbler is a brown ale and imho not very hoppy. In fact SN has become one of my favorite brewers lately given the increased availability of their brews beyond the ale, but if hops aren't your thing I can see why you'd avoid them. The Summit Golden Ale (probably impossible for you to get) is an excellent Belgian and you probably want nothing to do with the Anchor Steam Humming as it's all hopped up.

Yeah, Anchor Steam is hoppy.
