I can't wait to try <a href="http://www.slashfood.com/2009/12/08/hot-buttered-rum-recipe/">this</a> with <a href="http://www.greatlakesdistillery.com/rum.htm">this</a>. Not really hot buttered rum season right now, though.

edit: weird that my favorite liquor store (that has EVERYTHING) doesn't carry it, but the one right by my house (that also sells shrimp) does.

...that sounds very, very good. Both the hot buttered rum and the rum itself.

My girlfriend got me a bottle of this last weekend. Nice smokey, peaty flavor. I like it.

So...my trunk is full of Miller Lite, New Glarus Spotted Cow, New Glarus Totally Naked, and Lakefront Brewery IPA. This should hold me over for the next day and a half.

Is always smart to carry around bottled water when traveling in desolate area's. In case the car breaks down and she is stranded.

Well, I agree, but why not just plain water? It doesn't taste much different and it's much cheaper. Doesn't have that weird light yellow color either that makes it look like pee.

Little known fact. Miller Lite is actually a great substitute for coolant should her car overheat. ;)

Completely crappy day made a sh*load better because of one thing:

Finding the limited issue Paulaner Wiesn Bier, in the 33.8oz can (and which also comes inside a Paulaner-logo adorned glass mug. Yes, inside of the mug is the can). :D :D :D :D

Ran about $14, but I figure the glass is worth at least $5, so that made it better. And it was only available during Oktoberfest IN Munich until this year (and here it is only available until October).

The manager saw me buy it and asked me about it. Apparently his distribution guy recommended it; the mgr wondered who would buy it. The dist guy said, "the people who know about this beer will buy it. There's only a few, but it's a sure sale." The dist guy is right.:)

It's warm, so I won't drink it until tomorrow. I can wait.

The Weisn is really tasty. Just cracked it. Just enough hops so you can taste it, a touch of almost-bitterness, and full flavor.

And I'll revalue the mug that came with it. It's worth more than $5. It's really thick glass; pretty much the same mugs you find at the German beirhauses.

For those of you that enjoy the KBC, the Hobo Express they're brewing this fall is pretty good.
Also, the 36 Schilling Scotch Ale will be available in cans soon, and will now be known as The Old Ore Dock Scotch Ale, a nod to the Marquette area.

Must. Have.

November can't be here soon enough.

So I got a bottle of this for my birthday (a buncha months ago). The vodka itself was... kinda crappy.

But this might be the best packaging for anything, ever.

Dude. It's a skull.

You can set a candle in just about anything, so yes.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

I think I'd rather just refill it with other booze and use it as a serving container. Wicked cool.
