Oh yeah? Well. I have more metal in me than...

Uh...

Forget it.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

So I heard some awesome news at Brew at the Zoo a week or so ago. Sam Adams is bringing back their Chocolate Bock in six pack form in their winter sampler pack.

Honest question: after viewing the following, how can the doubters NOT love (or at least like) this?!

A trailer for a movie(s) that are several years old?

Stopped at MGM. a very "blessed" young woman was giving out samples (of different alcohols :( ). I tried the Crown Royal Black. Was pretty good.

Then I went and bought Jameson and some 1554. :D

I considered some Redbreast in her honor, but I'd rather pay $20 than $55 today.

Picked up the Red Hook Rope dealie today. A very nice summer beer without being overly "summery". I really like it. Also the Sierra Nevada Porter is quite good, which adds to my crush on the brewery.

Trying the Newcastle Summer Brew. It's like Spotted Cow and Summit EPA decided to have a kid.

It's good for one, if you are not a hops-fiend.

Great Lakes Brewing Dortmunder Gold.

This is putting slightly less hair on my chest than the Pilsner Urquell does.

Meh. Good enough, but not terribly impressed.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

G-Will had all their stuff for $9+. I passed and took the Red Hook and Sierra Nevada for $22 for 4-sixers.

Halfway through, it is official. Meh at best.

So, cracked the Lift Bridge Farmer Girl Saison. Much better.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Dortmunder Gold was good, but there's nothing special about it to justify having to pay the higher cost out here. Similarly, the Eliot Ness is good, but I like Firebrick a little better, and Firebrick is usually about $2 cheaper.

I had Farm Girl Saison a couple months ago and it was good, but of all the times I've went back to the store since then, I've never seen it and thought, 'Hey, I've got to have that again.'

I picked up some Moose Drool to try tonight for the first time. I'm pretty impressed. Very, very dark, almost like a porter, but not quite as heavy, which was kind of what I was looking for.

I love Moose Drool.

Is there a little slacking on drinking?

There is nothing like being surrounded by Harp, Guinness, and Jack Daniels that makes for a great Friday. Oh, and Miller Lite when you switch from glass to can.

Sid's/Big Top in Plymouth (one by 169/55, the other by Ridgedale mall) is having a huge sale right now thanks to Labor Day coming up. Homewreckers of Captain and Smirnoff for about $18, Jameson 750 is $14, Maker's 750 is $16, and some other good prices.

I'm here to help.

Homewrecker, is that a 1.5?
