Agreed. Especially with your hidden text. But, Full Moon is fantastic. I just don't enjoy the summer versions of most beers.

Yeah, I prefer the winter versions of beers in general. I still miss Pete's Wicked Winter Ale. :(

I've heard the Newcastle summer version is good, but haven't tried it yet.

Really? I guess I've always preferred shocktop to that mediocrity in a bottle. Not that I go out of my way for either. Blue moon might have been ruined for me by everyone talking it up. But to each their own.

Blue Moon is overrated by the average person nowadays. Most of the people who started drinking it when it first hit the area know it for what it is: a poor man's Paulaner Hefe-weizen. ;)

I'll have it when I don't want a macro-brew type beer (Leinie's, Bud, Mich Golden), but want a "lighter" beer than say, a Newcastle/Bass/etc, due to the limited tap beers that a sports bar typically has.

Harpoon Winter Warmer (even though it gets panned by beer critics), Sam's Winter Lager, and Full Moon are, by far, my favorite three winter-specific beers. Of course, having not being 21 while they're actually being manufactured, I haven't been able to explore all of the possibilities for myself.

And, it looks like I'll have to go search for the Sierra Nevada and Newcastle summer versions. Maybe those will actually be tasty.

Drinking a Shock Top for the first time, honestly I'm underwhelmed by the flavor or lack there of.

Wow. So you were pretty much 0/3 on your half of the create-your-own six pack!
I was 2/3. Moon Man was the downer, he stole my Honey Moon but it was NPB, and I had a Hornsby's cider that was fantastic.

Hornsby's is awesome.

As much as peach vodka sounds bad, it tastes good with pineapple juice and V8 Splash. It was a free bottle of vodka. What can I say?:o

This upcoming weekend could top the Death Christmas weekend I had a couple years ago. 2/3 of the same participants at the least, and there's a bachelor wandering involved.:o

Good luck. We're all counting on you. :)

Tonight is a good night for a drink. Here's to $1,200.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Was planning on drinking with my buddy (and planning to be a couple drinks in by this time) but thanks to CO Springs' weather, we'll be starting around midnight.

But I did have a Sprecher Black Bavarian with dinner.

Well, after that loss, better make it a double...

Yep. That Balvenie 12YO we're cracking tonight will taste a little better with a couple tears of sadness.

Re: Official Drinking Thread: I'm Having A 6-Pack Attack!: Part The Sixth

Is that the one you got a good deal on a few weeks back?

Yeah. Actually bought two bottles: one for personal use, and one especially for this week. It's also making the trip with us, so we can share with the others in the wedding party. I highly doubt it will make its way back to MN, however. ;)

I finally got my Nordeast. I originally had a 12 pack coming my way, but it ended up being an 8 pack. Dam in-law family.

Yeah, that Scotch is gone. Whoopseedrizzle.

I don't know whether to applaud the feat, or weep for your liver.

In other news, the lovely jewelry stores of this area decided that 3 1/2 years of suck was only worth about $50 for the gold, and no one wanted the diamonds. I'm lifting the drinking ban and having some Moscato, and no one is allowed to judge me.

Drink away, my dear. Drink away.
