SOH: Tell me that had the pre-season incident with Wayne Simmonds wasn't the cause of this. Without that, this becomes an innocent "Three Stooges" / slapstick comedy / cartoon / Mario Kart joke. But no, apparently we need to be err on the side of caution.
I see both sides. What Barch said is VERY tame. Pretty sure both teams called the ref worse that night.

Are you seriously telling me that you never heard of white people calling black people monkeys as a racial insult before? It isn't something that started the last few years or so. Cue up Howard Cosell.
I'm not angry about it, actually it made me chuckle as well, but I'm not surprised he was slapped on the wrist.

I said this on Twitter, but it bears repeating: Up 9-0 in the 3rd, the Bruins were still doing the little things instead of coasting to victory. Seguin dove for a loose puck, Bergeron broke up a Calgary chance and stole the puck, Kreji was playing great D and Campbell was diving to block a shot...these guys are just so much fun to watch.

Reminds me a little bit of the 08-09 season where Boston was tearing it up.
...the difference is, this team knows how to finish teams off. Can you see this team, assuming it stays healthy, losing 4 of 7? I certainly can't.

Even with an injury or two, this team has enough depth to compensate (Marshmont didn't play tonight and they still won 9-0). It's hard to envision a scenario where this team loses a 7-game series.

bruins are the best team in hockey now, but injuries play a large role in a trip to the cup so nothing in my mind is remotely made up. They have a good shot at it though. Vancouver is looking legit again, and the rangers are becoming a gritty tough team to play against ; they also have a ton of good goal scorers to back it up. Should be a great second half unless your an isles or blue jackets fan.
