Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Re: Official 2011-2012 Miami Season Thread Part II: (OH) Yeah!

Well, even if we win out the rest of our games I think we would still need some help to get an at-large bid at this point (assuming tonight is a lost cause).

This sucks.

FWIW, we still have 3 home games (and 1 away) against teams ahead of us in PWR. Err, rather entering tonight, assuming Ohio loses yet again, who knows how far they fall.

Well with Alaska back in as TUC we are still on the outside looking in. Guess we have our work cut out for us.

I'll probably regret saying this later, but any lingering anxiety I had over losing our seniors is quickly fading.

A scUM fan told my 5 year old cousin to GTFO. Yea. It's a good thing I didn't have my tomahawk with me.

Just switched tv to game as the Redhawk goal was waived off and then reviewed. Have to agree with Rico--looked good to me.

It was interesting how differently Michigan fans reacts to physical play versus Miami. The slightest scrum initiated by the opposing team after a whistle and all of Yost is calling for a penalty. We cheer for our players to fight back. Guess our fans are just as equally classless as our players ;)

Does anybody familiar with our recruits next year know if any of the D-Men can actually, uh... score?

Matt Caito 37 GP 4-12--16 49 PIM 12

Chris Joyaux 34 GP 3-11--14 61 PIM -22

Patrick Sieloff 37 GP 3-5--8 97 PIM

Sieloff is the #34 NA skater, but is a stay at home defenseman. A couple years out Chris' brother Matt is more in the offensive mold, I believe.

this is from the CCHA website - watch closely at the 2:20-2:25 mark

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYTO8pqhRDU&list=UUkNhN72d_q4Cx_Oztg_8_qQ&index=2&feature=plcp

on the line but not even close to over.

So says your Maize and Blue glasses, my Red and White beg to differ ;)

I'm watching on my phone so I can't really tell one way or another - but I'm guessing it's one of those plays that stands as called 100/100. The ref was right on top of it, if he can't get it right from that vantage point than CCHA officiating is even worse than we already think.

Edit: For those having some trouble with comprehension, a ;) means this is a joke, and "I can't tell one way or another" means just that - I don't have an opinion, not sure where you get "OMG ITS A GOAL" out of this.

Not really a joke. I've never seen so much complaining after a 2-win weekend.

Well, the goaltender buzzing has to stop. No need to joist about the douchbaggery either, it's par for the course. We got the six points, so we'll take it.

We don't call it douchbaggery down here - we call it defending our goalie, maybe you guys should work on that. And yeah you got 6 points from us this weekend so why don't you all just calm down and stop complaining
