Re: Obama XXIII: The Muslin Anti-Christ Wages War on the forces of Christianity!
Obama strikes me as having a really healthy ego, sure -- same as Romney and Reagan and dozens of other guys who thought well enough of themselves to run for the presidency. He doesn't give off the "erp, shucks, gee whiz" that Reagan was so good at, no... he's that guy in law school who always kicked everybody else's *** in moot court and you could tell when he shook your hand at the end he was thinking, "you're done, boy."
So he has the ego of a hyper-competitive winner. I would not like him as a person. Let's say that's all true.
What makes you think he doesn't surround himself with experts and staff and weigh all of their inputs before making decisions? That is, after all, the cardinal rule of successful management -- grab everybody else's best ideas and take the credit.
I believe if Obama was exactly the same guy with exactly the same policies, but he did it all with a derp-a-derp accent or Reagan's avuncular, self-effacing affectations, the whole "you think you're so smart!" argument would never come up.
I think if you could get past this you might actually be able to evaluate Obama semi-rationally.Obama's a smart guy, but his problem is that he thinks he's really really smart, smarter than everyone else, and he isn't.
