Re: Obama XV: Now, with 20% more rage

So all we need to do is disregard human civilization. And mutate into crocodiles.

I have to hand it to you - it's a good plan. :)

could we be alligators, or just crocodiles?...maybe both so we have some diversity? Although I sense a Dr Suess book needed if that was the case.

see ya later...

Alligator-crocodile marriage must be outlawed because it says so on the Holy Lilly Pad.

The "smart people" know that these people are monsters... and so the "smart" thing to do is not to provoke them... if you provoke them... you're not one of us... you deserve it.

If there is still a fatwah on Rushdie then the Arabs need to pay more attention...it is never hard to find Rushdie around. He is on tv all the time and it is usually announced in advance

I wish they'd put a fatwah on his ex-arm-candy. She is insufferable on Top Chef.

I wish they'd put a fatwah on the clowns issuing the fatwahs. And maybe put one on the cast of Jersey Shore too. :D

Re: Obama XV: Now, with 20% more rage

That might be the worst analogy to business I've ever seen...you demonstrate no knowledge of the decision process involved to expand a business.

And, while you dismiss them as unquantifiable, that doesn't mean those factors don't exist.

pirate, I'm not going to argue with your Sarah Palin type assured view of your own little world, but I can tell you that if you feel you'll be making extra money you'll put in the effort. Following your extremely odd logic, no one would ever work for more than what's taxed at the lowest tax bracket, because any more work they do means getting less back as they reach higher level tax brackets. That's stark raving stupid, but its the gist of your argument.

Do you only want to earn money in the lowest tax bracket, and refuse to earn six figures a year because you'd have to pay incrementally higher taxes on your income? For your family's sake I hope not.

I'm randomly back in DC for a conference the previous week; it's a sign I must go.

Poll.

I sense USCHO Political Posters Conference I: Up Close and Personal.

We should reserve a room at an area tap room and solve all the country's problems over a pint or twelve.

So, after weeks of lecturing, hectoring, toungue clucking, First Amendment seminars, head shaking, Al Gore like sighing, posturing, name calling, insults and the obligtory threats, a significant majority of us STILL think building Jihad City close to GZ is a bad idea.

I guess we're just too Islamophobic to get the message. Pity.

This CNBC video interview with Bernie Marcus, co-founder of Home Depot, speaks volumes about what's wrong with the business environment:

The video is some of the best television about politics I've seen in a long time. The business environment is in horrible shape because there is too much regulation and too much uncertainty. Just to give you an idea of my own personal experience with this. I put an offer on a house in February 2010 (short sale), the bank countered on Final Five weekend and I accepted their counter offer the following money. I filled out all of the necessary paper work for the sale that week. The bank fought with the seller over details for months and I finally closed in early June. We had to redo the paperwork because everything took so long and from the time of the original accepted offer to the final sale, FHA had added 6 forms.

To be fair, she never said she drank it.

Agreed. She obviously bought it for those young cabana boys she tools around with.

Hey, if we're going off the deep end, I'm more than happy to pile in ... :D
