Obama XI: Turn And Face The Strange

Re: Obama XI: Turn And Face The Strange

I provided several links and facts that debunked the, "Fannie/Freddie caused the fallout" myth on more than one occasion, none of which were refuted. As for the FOX reference, if it walks like a duck (and equally screams, "liberals this, liberals that"...) you might want to check the kettle-resembling pot in your cupboard.

You're wasting your time. Posting back up material and facts does no good to a True Believer. Basically the modern day conservative Republican is perfectly represented in Sarah Palin. A person who not only doesn't deal in logic, but actively disdains using it. That's why I'm looking forward to the 2012 primaries when a guy like Romney tries to make a reasoned argument about taxes using his experience as a venture capitalist, only to get destroyed in a debate with Palin who advocates a zero % tax rate instead. The minute he tries to explain how that's not realistic his campaign is doomed.

Re: Obama XI: Turn And Face The Strange

That wasn't wrong, either, it was "what everybody was thinking but only they had the guts to do" (intoned solemnly with the same voice as "Nixon only did what everybody else did, he just got caught").

Nothing is ever a conservative's fault. They are right, therefore any wrong must have been committed by somebody else or, as a final argument, by somebody who is "not really a conservative." It's a perfect circular argument. :p

Almost of the time the conservative is right.

You just have to keep a close eye on those Republicans, they are lost.

Known life-wrecker admits there is a rationing plan

http://www.breitbart.tv/obamas-budg...-not-doctors-will-control-health-care-levels/

As for the life-wrecker bit... guy leaves pregnant gf to marry another woman... I'll continue to call him that... probably forever... there's no lower sin in my mind outside of murder or rape.

...leaving a woman...wait...

One, you're a sexist. It's baffling how you think you're really pro-women, but you're sexist and being misogynist. Women don't need to be protected and this injustice stems from your major social deficiencies.

Two, he broke up with the woman and married someone else. This woman he left? Shes a greek shipping heiress. She's doing ok for herself.

Also, they broke up mutually, in the baby's first trimester. There's nothing that suggests he left her for another woman or that they even knew she was pregnant when they broke up.

There was no love triangle. Also, please look at what happened between Brady and Monaghan, IIRC you kept your mouth shut on it because it doesn't matter, its their personal business.

And the rationing...?

And the rationing...?

I don't care. He wanted to make his point by being a freak who cares about the dude's personal life.

He should concentrate on the rationing to make his point, not make up lies to make the person with the bad idea look like scum of the earth.

But that's how he rolls. And that gets me more incensed than the rationing!

Re: Obama XI: Turn And Face The Strange

We already ration...we give all the health care in the world to retirees, through medicare, at the expense of those of working age. So forgive me if I don't feel sorry if the 85-year old doesn't get some over the top transplant or other experimental life saving measure because we can't afford it.

Re: Obama XI: Turn And Face The Strange

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

Get me in line now for the Death Panel. I want to know.

That may be somebody's parent you're talking about. It sounds great in the abstract, but when it is your Mom or Dad, the perspective changes.

And as we all know emotional desires should trump rational thinking.

Re: Obama XI: Turn And Face The Strange

I want my parents to get the very best of care. Your parents, well, cost-benefit analysis is good policy. :p

When it's about the people we love, we are all liberals.

Yeah, which is why when it comes to gov't funding for such things, we want to use the abstract when it comes to policy.

Also, the boomers are a large part of the problem with this country's finances , so frankly, they made their own bed in this case. (Selfish Generation (tm) for the win). Once again, sorry, not feeling sorry for them.

The boomers are only a problem to the extent that FDR and LBJ made them dependent upon the government via Social Security and Medicare. If we didn't have SS and Medicare, the hole we're in wouldn't be nearly as big.
