The keepers of any faith surely have their own agendas, but there is a deeper philosophical divide here. Some people believe that it is at least possible for a text to be the literal word of a god, while others believe that all texts are human products, vulnerable to the myriad errors, intentional and accidental, of transmission, translation and interpretation, and even in their pristine state simply capturing their authors' limited understanding of divinity.
Then again, who says texts are eternal? Theoretically a god could speak to man in one stage of maturity one way, and then later in a different way, without being contradictory. God may be changeless, but man is not.
Ecclesiastes 3:
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

And for the haters, why do you assume that only "brown" people will be interrogated? I think that's kinda racist. There are white illegal immigrants, too.
I'm all for immigration. Get here legally, learn the culture/language, get a job, etc. But come here illegally? * you. Get out. Now.

Next thing you know cops will start pulling over white people for no reason beside their skin color.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that some cops will take some liberties, and I hope they are caught and punished. I'm just sick of illegals in this country.
I'm also sick of the gub'ment saying that illegals are "excused" (for lack of a better word) because they are taking jobs that no one wants, or they are trying to make a better life for themselves, etc.
Punish the companies hiring illegals, punish the illegals, etc etc etc.

Well no, I don't think they'll be pulling over white people for the most part, you know why? Because white people don't fit the profile of illegal immigrants to Arizona. Police must profile in order to stop crime, as Brent said, I'm sure some cops will go too far with it, but they will be punished in due course.

Why should a legal US citizen be jailed because they forgot to bring their wallet when they left the house? Just because someone looks Mexican doesn't mean they are illegal.
And if you think police profile everyone equally I am going to guess you never lived in a "bad part of town".
