If you reread what I said, you'll note that I was stating what Obama and the Dems "want" to see. It remains to been whether they are successful in achieving that. Yes, we still need to see what the final bill will look like.

The road to "Socialism" has been in the process of being paved for more than seventy years. When you're ready to give up your nice military pension and healthcare, your SS and Medicare, then we'll talk.

These people aren't angry about any of that. What they're angry about is that we've got a darkie running the country, and they can't just be good ol' boys any longer. I've got news for you, we have these things called 'elections' in this country, and you guys lost. Throwing temper tantrums because of it doesn't make your position any more palatable. I've always believed Iraq was in part execution of the "mad bomber" theory. If you have a giant military industrial complex, and a desire to play cop for the world, sometimes you gotta send out the message that you have a mad bomber with his finger on the trigger, if for no other reason than to signal to other twits like Hussein the message, "jeez, what will that clown do next."

Hope not. That would be pretty rough on 100,000 innocents. We sure freed the **** out of them.

While the govt is secular, it's largely a Muslim country that borders many of the countries in which our interests lie throughout the Middle East. It may be partly European, but it's mostly Asian. The Black Sea separates the two continents right through Istanbul.

Yeah, none of that really describes Turkey really well. I know all of that is true, and yet, it's NOT really a Middle Eastern nation, and it IS more European than Asian in culture.

35% people under the age of 40 who aren't getting laid and take out their frustrations through right wing reactionary policies.
14% old people
1% people who actually benefit from GOP tax cuts.
