Obama V: For Vendetta

Re: Obama V: For Vendetta

Well, if someone defeated your inventor to become President, wouldn't you take a leave of absence?

Here's what I want to know: why are the people on the far right suddenly concerned over a controversial resignation among the President's staff? Doesn't that strike anyone as odd? What's next, are far-leftists going to insist that its unpatriotic to question the President? Any other complete 180s from five years ago that we want to cover? What's the leftist version of "Freedom Fries"?

Socialist Spuds? ;) :p :D

Wouldn't it be Traitor Tots?

Pinko Potatoes? :D

Boomshakalalakaboom! ...

Pink potacos

French Fries.

I've only been following all this hype on the peripheries, but I thought the issue was less with the president's speech and more with the idea that the talking points sent out by the Dept. of Education were written in a manner that lead children less towards critical thinking of what the president said more towards being his supporter.

I think the biggest unspoken issue is that when you give Obama time to perform a prepared speech he is simply outstanding. Obama probably didn't get much air time in many districts, but the "no excuses" and personal responsibility should have been welcomed by any family.

Re: Obama V: For Vendetta

Edit: I'm guessing there were more than a few people in a Bush/Reagan administration that had said things critical of the US government, given that, you know, they're the party that is allegedly always trying to reign in its power...

Critical of the U.S. government? The man signed a document that alleges the Presidentof the United States killed 3000 of his own citizens. I am not sure what world you live in but here on planet Earth that is not "being critical" of the U.S. governmnet that is being bat guano *** crazy. Anyone who believes such a thing has no place working in the government, period.

Re: Obama V: For Vendetta

The Obama speech "controversy" boils down to complaining it's harder to indoctrinate your kids if they're exposed to reality. The hard core will self-select by homeschooling their kids and raising a cult who think the Earth is 6000 years old.

The world needs ditch diggers too.

Here is a shocker.... complaining about speeches to students is nothing new.

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/o...rats-investigated-held-hearings-57694347.html

"The Department of Education should not be producing paid political advertising for the president, it should be helping us to produce smarter students," said Richard Gephardt,

"As the chairman of the committee charged with the authorization and implementation of education programs, I am very much interested in the justification, rationale for giving the White House scarce education funds to produce a media event."

How many kids, diagnosed as ADD, are drugged out zombies by the time they're in HS?

Can't we let the kids be kids and give them activities to blow off steam? I think it was called Phys Ed back in the day.

Non-sequitor? But, hey, agreed.

Obama probably didn't get much air time in many districts, but the "no excuses" and personal responsibility should have been welcomed by any family.

He talked a good deal about that in his campaigns, and he made certain entrenched factions in the black community a bit uncomfortable as I recall. If he wants to preach "no excuses and personal responsibility" he should be talking to adults as well.

His Father's Day speech and his stump speech stressed personal responsibility for parents.

Re: Obama V: For Vendetta

Good points by Thomas Sowell

While I think the title is a bit strong, he does bring up some good points about how Obama has hurt his credibility.

Whatever President Obama is, he is not stupid. If the urgency to pass the medical care legislation was to deal with a problem immediately, then why postpone the date when the legislation goes into effect for years-- more specifically, until the year after the next Presidential election?

Re: Obama V: For Vendetta

Which parts of these things are illegal? Which parts of these things affect his ability to perform his Green Jobs promotion role?

dumb.

presidents should be allowed to keep whomever they want around them. if people don't like it, vote for someone else in 4 yrs.

"call to resign" - dumb.

(has michael moore made a "911truth" movie yet?)

Wow, these two are so in lockstep with whatever the DNC tells you to say, it's comical lol. Let me thank them for making me feel good today about being an independant - it's not as easy but I enjoy being able to arrive at my own opinion. :)

Now mookie is a good example of how dangerous it can get if extreme liberals ever attain power. (oh wait....) Nevermind my opinions, nevermind that lunatic's political ideology - for someone to suggest us dirty commoners should keep our mouths shut about asking a radical to step down is disgraceful. So with mookie and Obama telling ordinary Americans to shut up and keep our opinions to ourselves, what does that tell you about how those hard left types feel about freedom in general and the First Amendment in particular? If you ever get the feeling the extreme left wished the First Amendment didn't apply to everyone, well their words do kind of support that feeling, no?

Now let's talk about this clown named Van. To me, this is almost as moronic and scary of making Michael Moore a czar of something. (say, Czar of Nonbiased and Truthful Information? ;) ) It shows alot about those that march to the tune of the DNC when they defend someone like this jerk. This guy is a communist who has shown unmasked contempt for whitey and for America. (Yet these two are defending him, like it's nothing more than criticizing big government, as they have tried to compare it to.) For the nonradical mainstream, it's plainly obvious that this idiot isn't fit to have the President's ear. For once, the President made a good decision - reluctantly, I'm sure - to kick this guy to the curb.

Of course, Obama's quest for power has bloated the executive branch's command over society to dizzying heights. 30+ czars with massive authority, Obama's ear, and they have zero accountability to the American public. And more than one of them are clowns just as radical as him on the expanded 30+ roster of people - they need to be purged as well.

Oh yeah, and Lynah.... to answer your first question, it's really an easy one for most Americans.... Your boy Van is a communist - you already know that and are cool with it. Here's the thing about commies though, and maybe you weren't aware of this.... you see, communists kinda suck at the whole capitalism/entrepreneurialism thing so that might just affect his ability to create jobs, green or otherwise, in some eensy teensy little way, ya know? ;)
