Obama 9 -- Its Been a Whole Year Now

Re: Obama 9 -- Its Been a Whole Year Now

Those independents are sick of the size of government. That's what we heard over and over again between him trying to pimp his girls.

What does the government have to do with job growth? I've heard from small government types for years.........nothing.

So, why is he voting for a left wing jobs bill?

Because it helps big businesses, who fund the GOP. Brown is no conservative, just another opportunist with taxpayer money he doesn't have to be held accountable for spending.

But then, you obviously already knew that. ;)

Re: Obama 9 -- Its Been a Whole Year Now

LOL,

I can't wait till he has to go through what Crist is going through in Florida the next election cycle. It will be entertaining.

I sincerely doubt that happens. The Tea Party may run a primary against him, the TP candidate will get 10% of the vote, and Brown will have a tight race in the general.

Rubio will defeat Crist and be the next Senator from Florida. I don't understand how that's Republican blunder.

The mere fact that the tea party will contest his candidacy will be enough. After all, it was Republicans who popped a gourd when the Democrats dared oppose Lieberman's candidacy in Connecticut. :D

"Jobs" Bill passes today 70-28.

Looks like some GOPers "turncoated" just like Scott Brown did. Michelle Malkin must be having a stroke about now ... Rush is probably downing Lortabs like popcorn. God knows how many boxes of Kleenex Glenn Beck is buying.

It is another fact Obama campaigned on job creation, so where are those 2 million jobs Obama promised? Another lie. Oh, I forgot the new White House spin is that Obama's stimulus package saved 2 million jobs - not create new jobs! Silly me. I am sure that goes over well with those hicks and rubes who "cling to their guns and religion" in job-depleted states like Indiana and Ohio. I wonder if those John Deere employees got nifty government shovel ready jobs?!

Again, I remember what Obama campaigned on, and quite honestly Obama turned out to personify the corrupt and wretched Washington DC and Chicago politics. He is a chocolate Bush. Maybe Obama can turn it around, but I seriously doubt it. I venture to say he will spin blame on Bushie for all ills that befall America whilst taking no ownership or responsibility.

Hey brother, Obama has proven he cannot convince a majority of his own party to pass something like Healthcare, just how much influence and power doe she really have? I say nil.

Meanwhile no one is mentioning a real solution to health care, like REGULATION, as both parties were always avoiding that unpleasant conversation. Special interests, hmmpfh. However SEIU put a lot money into Obama's campaign and they certainly want some ROI, so now we have his drilled down Obama SEIU-appeasement Health Care Bill.

"... met the new boss, same as the old boss!"

Just my two cents, but I give a tip of the hat to Scooby for his belief and being committed to his President and Party.

Too funny. 1. He's everyone's President. 2. I am not a member of the Democratic party, nor do I intend ever to be a member.

The republican and democrat parties are no more than the right and left legs of the same cockroach. Is there any wonder why the teabaggers are angry?

Re: Obama 9 -- Its Been a Whole Year Now

We need a legitimate Independent candidate for President...will never win the next election but might pull enough votes to send a message.

If they get into the debates they will have a great stance..."I'm not in bed with the scoundrels these two guys are in bed with". That might be all they need to say to make a showing.

Campaign Slogan

Red, Blue ... they both screw you

I think you are funny too, because you grouse on this website all day long like a cranky old hen about anything Republican, yet you seem to hold your critical tongue against Obama and anything Democrat. OK, my error you are not a Democrat. Still, it begs the question: why are you so one-sided if you purport to be an indy?

I challenge you to provide reasonable solutions instead of yammering or inciting arguments for the sake of arguing. Nah, strike that, it is too easy to comment on Scott Brown "pimping his daughters"... never mind you ignore all the gaffs that Biden makes in the name of humor.

I like you Scooby because of your passion, but I think you are slightly misguided. Good luck!

They're not invited to the debates for a reason.

Somebody less crazy than Ross Perot, but with his money might be helpful. Bloomberg? He just pulled $5B from Quadrangle ...

How high would you like them to poll to be invited to the debates? Or should anyone who is running for president be invited?

if they had Dennis Miller on MNF then they should have Will Farrell or Wanda Sykes at the debates...she could turn to the audience and say "you believe the bull**** that guy just said? ****, he's so ****ing clueless he couldn't run the baby oil stand at a gay beach".

Re: Obama 9 -- Its Been a Whole Year Now

Have you heard of Ike? What was the rate when he was in office? Was the budget balanced?
Following marginal tax rates during the course of the 20th century in this country is a bit misleading for those who don't look beyond the top marginal rate, and disingenuous for those who really do follow these things. Back when Eisenhower was in office the deductions offered were much greater than today. When Reagan got into office, one of his biggest pushes was to reform the tax code. He worked with Congress and dropped the marginal rates and removed the majority of deductions. He held the belief that keeping the tax code simple would be best as it allowed people to know what to expect. Since then, we've added complexities back into the tax code.

You do realize we have a two party system, don't you?

The GOP hasn't had a successful plan in any facet of govt for over a decade.
