Norwich Women's Hockey

Re: Norwich Women's Hockey

I've heard they cut some of the good upperclassmen. That incoming class must be something worthwhile.

Any word on who was axed so far? Coach Bolding and Coach Maurice sharpened up early this year with the tourney coming up?? Interesting to see if any of the cuts (providing they were good enough ) end up anywhere else maybe next semester??

The roster has not been finalized yet.

Re: Norwich Women's Hockey

From the ECAC Coaches Poll release:

"The Cadets are returning two First Team All ECAC players, forward Julie Fortier (Saint-Malachie, Quebec/Levis Lauzon) who scored 23 goals and 17 assists for 40 points and defense Amanda Wilks (Winnipeg, Manitoba/Warner School) scoring 9 goals and assisted on 13 for 22 points."

No mention of LeClerc?

I think she got "the ax" too.

Re: Norwich Women's Hockey

Here's a little bit of information released about the first annual East/West Hockey Classic hosted by Norwich University at Kreitzberg Arena next Friday and Saturday.

http://www.norwichathletics.com/sports/whockey/2010-11/releases/East-West_Hockey_Classic_2010

Both Norwich games will have live streaming video.

Friday's game against RIT starts at 7 p.m. and Saturday's game against Elmira starts at 6 p.m.

Where are the rosters posted for Norwich and NEC?

Re: Norwich Women's Hockey

I made a mistake while uploading the bios. There are only 11 freshmen and one transfer, but yes still a big number.

I forgot to update the returners class years but it should be good to go now.

"Lets get ready to RUMBLE".......................

Re: Norwich Women's Hockey

So how do you see this weekend play out?
I feel Norwich has the team to beat if they have answered their goaltending issues.
Elmira has the goaltending but must rely on first years to step right in and produce.
RIT has a great goal scorer and is probably the hungriest as they feel they got really hosed the past 2 seasons.
NEC has the best 11-13-3 goalie (with a .932% while facing 761 shots last season) but can they avoid 2 losses?
