Does Midd do HD broadcasts over NSN, or just standard definition?
Please, let us know...enquiring minds want to know...Anyone know If Contnoir will be in the line up or how bad his injury is?

Coach McShane told us on The Really Big Sports Show on NSNradio.net on Thursday morning it is a slight shoulder separation ... out at least two ... probably three weekends ... Coach is scheduled to be on with us every Thursday morning at 10:00 AM ... check it out!
Through my Maroon colored computer screen it didn't look like a clean hit.
Very glad Puckvoice mentioned that the Cadets three quick goals last night reminded him of the "Old" Cadets of a few years ago who always seemed to score in bunches. Also that they spread the wealth around, 6 goals, 5 players.....Awesome!
What a lousy break for NU Captain Pier Oliver Cotnior. Most of us recall that as a highly touted incoming freshman he was hurt and had to sit out some of the earlier games at the start of his brilliant NU career. But when he did finally "arrive' that season two of my favorite goals that first season were: (1.) The goal to tie Middlebury in the closing seconds of the second period--in a regular season game--which we won 3 to 1. I will never forget it--he was literally going down on his back just as he fired his rocket into the net before ending up on his back and up sliding down the ice. Wow!
(2.) Then there was "THE shot" in Lake Placid that finished SNC at 19:29 in the double overtime for the NCAA Title. And since then it has been those superb one-off faster than a speeding bullet and more powerful than a locomotive slap shots--one after another.
What a player and I hope he heals quickly, returns when he is ready and shows us more of his great talent. Like I said, what a lousy break.
Delighted at the way the rest of the team has picked up the slack in his absence last night. Actually, I think UNE has more talent than the score indicates and they will find "their game" when they learn to channel their aggression. And how many times did they miss some real opportunities with silly offsides? Two? Three? But I do not like the idea of having to see them again in that small band box they play in as it seems to suit their style.
Last night was UMass-Boston (UMB) not UNE. But yes, agreed on all accounts.

Also, lets not forget the goal he scored against Elmira in the NCAA Quarterfinals...I know I'll never forget that one...
Sorry for my confusion between UNE and UBM
I was writing to quickly and actually have UNE on the brain. I am coordinating pre UNE-game gathering on Friday, January 25th at 5PM at TJ Pizza in Biddeford, Maine. Looks like an already large crowd signed up to attend with a bus coming over from Norwich.
And speaking of bandbox hockey arenas-- UNE is finally out of the dump they were in. UNE nows has a brand new barn on campus. I will post another reminder on this NU pre-game gathering before the UNE game--but if you plan to attend call Allison Sultan at the NU alumni office in Northfield.
Whew...and all that said---I still do not relish seeing the Cadets at UMass in late February. I hate that rink.![]()
If nobody else want to jump in on this, I understand, but what I saw was a team that was struggling at both ends through most of the game. I think the loss of Cotnoir really hurt all weekend. Hopefully with SMC coming up and a single game this weekend, they can get things back together.
They were totally out of synch with the power play all weekend, but didn't need it against UMB. Against Babson, converting only 1 of 6 power plays was just a killer.
