Norwich Cadets '13-14 - A New Look Forward

Congrats to assistant coach Steve Mattson on earning the prestigious Terry Flanagan Award for 2014 as the nation's top assistant coach across all levels of college hockey.

Question....I am planning on going to Thursday's game and want to sit outside....what would be the best possible ticket for the game? Thanks!

Upstairs or on the Monster.

The red seats are probably the worst view possible.

The best tickets are the EMC/State Street Pavillion Club Seats. I think those $30 a ticket. I strongly advise trying to get in there.

Re: Norwich Cadets '13-14 - A New Look Forward

What a great game both teams played. Babson has a great club we look forward to them bringing their show to Norwich for another round and what will be surely be another great scrap. Meanwhile Norwich seems to have found its sweet spot. They have surely matured a great deal in these last three games.

Next up UMass and the hopes that NU continues to deliver that same relentless and very disciplined pace they have shown in thesetwo import games against Amherst and Babson.

Great jobs...can't wait to see the boys a UMass Friday night. And compliments to the Babson broadcast crew....nice job guys. Go Cadets.

Re: Norwich Cadets '13-14 - A New Look Forward

Was able to sync the WDEV feed with George Como to the Babson video for two periods. The third was not good so I just went with George. Nice win for the Cadets but I'm missing the explosive scoring that they are so famous for, those two or three goals in a two or three minute span. Those were fun to watch!

Re: Norwich Cadets '13-14 - A New Look Forward

Hard to please the Norwich Fans this year it seems. Was very impressed with the hard forechecking and good pace again. Some gaffs on D when they force cross ice passes that should never happen within their own blue line but overall a great effort. One goal against a defensive minded team, a hot goalie and playing outside in a foreign environment will do it for me. Glad to see Czar have a strong first start; he looked great, there were a few instances where it got a little crazy and he was doing his best to just keep the puck out of the net but the D did a great job at getting in front of him and clearing out the garbage during those scruffs right in front of the crease. Glad to see them pull out the win and excited to see how tonight goes. No let downs like last time they played at Fenway and then lost the next night to UMASS. Go Cadets, liking how 2014 has started so far!

This UMass-Boston team is a heck of a lot better than the one that beat Norwich that night as well.

Jeez, if George Como tells us one more time that the goalie for UMB is a transfer from UVM, I'm going to SCREAM!!! We know it, you told us in the pregame, every time he made a save, and in the post game recap. Hey George, NOBODY CARES!!!

Wasn't everyone just praising him? No winning when you're George Commo! :X

Tough night for Norwich hockey with the women losing 3-1 to Elmira too.

Men with a HUGE showdown with Plattsburgh on Tuesday. Hopefully a big student section welcomes the boys home after a tough three-game stretch.

Goalie didn't Stand on his Head but did get job done for UMB but not star of game for UMB

Tough loss for the Cadets. I hate to see them come back like they did from two down to tie it and then let it slip away. Marinsek didn't look as sharp as he usually does, but UMB seems to have put together a pretty nice team. The rematch at the end of the season should be a huge game. It is, in reality, a learning season for this squad. They have played some very good games and some games in which their inexperience really shows. Still waiting for the guy who can carry the team on his back when the going gets really tough. Didn't seem to be there last night.

I do think that the schedule gave UMB a bit of an advantage (6 days rest vs. 24 hours), but that wasn't the major difference.

Funny sport hockey.....St Mikes leading UMB 4-1 in the second.
