Norwich 2015-16 - 17 straight ECAC East titles and counting....

Re: Norwich 2015-16 - 17 straight ECAC East titles and counting....

Saturday's game time is 4pm for the men. The women are playing at 7pm.

Conference rules dictate that Saturday league games must start at 4pm.

If this is the case I curious how Castelton & Skidmore were able to play at 7:00 PM on Saturday night February 6th at Castleton:confused:

It is hard to believe the regular season is over and we are looking possibly at the last game of the year at NU. Lets go spin room and cheer em on. I think they show games of greatness and who knows , may be able to put a run together and take it all the way. I would love to book a room to watch them in Lake Placid. GO NU

Lets all hope your right, because NU just seems to be off. I think it is going to take more than Will to bring this thing around. Oh make no mistake I think they win one of the big games this weekend , but just one. Both would be nice, but history of this team says other wise. I think goal tending was better at the beginning of the season than it is now. That seems to be part of NU history as well. Who is the goalie coach any how? Any way you cut it your only as good as your record, sorry but that is the bottom line in sports. It's a fact , Jack. And the record for this year is well, how should we say, poopy.

From a "poopy" record to talk of booking a room in Lake Placid...hmm, interesting. How would you describe this "weather" Roy? Would you say it's "fair"? ;)

One game at a time...

Was sort of surprised that Brandon Ostepchuk wasn't on either the first or second team. He had a great year with a D that struggled at times.

And so was I as I looked up the statistics for both conference and non-conference games. Must be something this old mind can't understand. And there is Norwich, number 10 in the NCAA regional rankings.

I agree. I think stepper got robbed a bit. I don't know if the first half of the season split tandem hurt his chances or what but he really came on in the second half and has had a heck of a year. More of a chip on his shoulder to keep it up in the playoffs!

You always know this stuff so when was the last time Norwich didn't have a member on the first team all league. It looks like the league didn't value Norwich players as much in the past.

Considering 12 of the 17 years Norwich had the ECAC East Player of the Year, it's probably been a very long time....

For whatever reason a lot of the good NEHC players are going to UMASS Boston. I read that the school is finally going to start building campus housing so the school will be even more attractive in the future. People have told me the arena is very average but probable 70% of the population of MASS is an hour away by commuter rail.

Should only be 11 out of 17 years: Mark Carragher got robbed in 06-07.... :) I will NEVER let that go :)

Ah, Gameday. I've been excited and a little nervous all week and am looking forward to tonight. I love rivalries.

I also dreamt last night that the game ended in a massive brawl.

Re: Norwich 2015-16 - 17 straight ECAC East titles and counting....

Has anybody been in contact with the Prof? Is he ok? I know he lives out here, and I should be more diligent about reaching out to local NU contacts, but ugh!

I asked the same question... see post 412, this thread. Hope he is well.

God no, don't need any brawls or penalties/injuries tonight! Many years ago I could imagine a dirty brawl with Castleton, but they are a different team now under Coach Moffet. Hope it is a clean game with Norwich playing their best. Cadets, stay out of the box, work as a team and take care of business tonight!!!:D

Re: Norwich 2015-16 - 17 straight ECAC East titles and counting....

Pelletier playing tonight, I am glad, but want the rest of the team to play as well as they did against Babson and Umass at Kreitzberg a few weeks ago!

Did anybody else just lose the feed (2:00 or so left in the 2nd)?
