D3 Hockey does not play a national schedule - going west or coming east for a tourney and a couple games can't give you a clear picture of how players stack up across the East/West divide...conferences within the same region are tough enough....unless you want to let the computer do it (best stats win), this is the next best thing...I believer that is what Prez was about to say....
Which Division III sport does play a "national schedule"? Frankly, hockey has more regional crossover, in the regular season, than any other sport.
This has turned into something I didn't intend. Hockey does it differently than other sports. I wondered why. IMO (which is just that, an opinion) having regional All-Americans is goofy.
