Northeastern Huskies 2011-2012 Season Thread: Year of the Mad Dog

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2011-2012 Season Thread: Year of the Mad Dog

Being a complete outsider, it's really hard to judge a coach based on his first season when he hasn't had a chance to recruit fully, and much less when there was an exodus of recruits after the former coach left.

Thank you. You saw a little of this during Cronin's first season but that changed quickly.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2011-2012 Season Thread: Year of the Mad Dog

First was making the 82 Frozen Four.

More specifically, beating Jerry York-coached Bowling Green in OT at Matthews in the quarterfinals to get to the Final (it wasn't Frozen then) Four. Second place, the first Beanpot. Beyond that? Hmmm, nothing stands out. Pretty sad commentary for a program that's been around as long as this one has.

I'm pretty sure the entire fanbase (with the exception of 5 or 6 people still in his "fanclub") have seen enough of him for a career. All he does is go out for his shift, skate around 45-60 seconds with no structure or pattern and then comes back and takes a seat on the bench. Aaron Moore/Steve Morra/Matt Lipinski were/are all better than him.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2011-2012 Season Thread: Year of the Mad Dog

Remember when I said Rawlings was above-average? I haven't been that wrong in a while. There is more of a chance he is in a mental institution in 5 years than he is in the AHL. What a headcase. I've watched hockey for a long time and I don't think I've ever seen one goalie give up as many bad goals as this sieve. Pathetic and embarrassing.

Not that it matters much seeing that we have no chance of making the playoffs, but who do you think Madigan starts in net tomorrow night?

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2011-2012 Season Thread: Year of the Mad Dog

U mass wins - we lose season over! Rawlings sucks! Fire Roby...Fire Roby..Fire Madigan..Fire Madigan! There is no way thsi is a 12 win team.

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2011-2012 Season Thread: Year of the Mad Dog

I am starting a new page Fire Roby.. Fire Madigan. I bet I will have thousands alum joined in 48 hours! We cant tolerate losing at NU any longer. Jim Madigan is the Tim Army of NU! These old timers have not been able to keep the university athletic programs on par with top tier nationally ranked academic university. I am appalled that a hockey team with this much raw talent finished 9th and missed the HE playoffs, I am appalled that a national search for a coach led us to a man that had been out of the game for nearly 20 years and whose most recent responsibilities included facilities management and included how much and how green the grass is on Mt .Rider and how many working toilets there are in the El Center. Alumni demand more!
