Northeastern Huskies 2011-2012 Season Thread: Year of the Mad Dog

Re: Northeastern Huskies 2011-2012 Season Thread: Year of the Mad Dog

I don't understand why NU fans are climbing over each other to get to the ledge. You lost a recruit, but you still have Chris Rawlings!

THE Chris Rawlings!

...But you are right about Carr and Rawlings, they are not in the same league. Rawlings is Major League compared to Single A short season for Carr.

Of the two goalies, one of them is playing at the highest level he ever will, the other one will a future pro. Here is a hint, Rawlings is the pro.

You read it here. A Pro. It's got to be comforting to have a Pro like Rawlings in the crease. Who needs what's-his-name?!

Jarrett Fennell (Aurora) and Stevens (Salisbury Prep.) will arrive here next year.

Gillies' loss hurts this program a lot.

Must suck being you. Cannot take joy in your once in every 20 year team, so you gotta keep coming to our thread. I am going to have some fun when your sorry squad comes back to earth next year, which it will, which it will.

Fennell was coming next year anyway. Why rush Stevens. I'd give him a year in the USHL to help with his transition to the college game.

At best, the schools gets to enforce their part of the agreement and gets to "show the kid who is boss". At worst, the school/coaching staff gets a reputation for not handling kids well and word will get out on this situation (we have no idea if the staff didn't keep any promises to the kid either, like we saw from the Vecchione situation).

While I agree with you, its one of those fine lines in college athletics. If you always let recruits out of their NLI's they will basically not mean much, which appears to have happened at NU
