North Dakota 2016 Off-Season Thread

Re: North Dakota 2016 Off-Season Thread

So these "many" fans would be OK with never winning another national championship? IIRC it was a guy from Grand Forks, ND that scored the GWG in 2002 or 2003, and a guy from Europe that scored the GWG in the other year. It has been 37 years (and counting) since an all Minnesota team won a national championship. These "many" fans would be OK with that?

Doug Woog comes to mind. I personally want to win championships regardless of where they are from.

Re: North Dakota 2016 Off-Season Thread

I've come to think the word trivalry still works with UND, UMTC and UW, even though we are slowly becoming old flames. But the old blood is still there. If UND goes to Minnie this year and gets spanked, the gophers will be as evil as ever.

I also think it is amazing how much talent Minnesota turns out for college hockey. But with 5 D1 programs in the state, it just seems silly to think UM should limit their roster to Minnesota kids. It doesn't fit the University concept, IMO.

Schmaltz signs a 3 year deal with the Blackhawks. He will be ready for the NHL in a year in my opinion. Would of loved to see him stay but no one can blame him for leaving. Best of luck to the young man.

New logo revealed tomorrow at 11 a.m. Central time. Should be quite a fiasco if past experience is any indication.

It'll be entertaining. Good thing so many are still up on their banner buzz. If the team had lost to Denver, they'd be sharpening their pitchforks as we speak.
