North Dakota 2012-13

Re: North Dakota 2012-13

Only fitting the Gophers end the careers of the twins.

Couldn't agree more....a most fitting end. These are the Gophers players that they bailed on, a team where they obviously wouldn't have been the center of attention with all the other talent this Gophers team has. I'm not an outright Gophers fan, but I'm even less (much less) a Lam fan.

Actually, no current Gopher ever suited up with JLam and MLam. Current Gopher seniors were frosh when J and M were off on their first Olympic adventure.

Saturday at 4 p.m. See you in Ridder.

Ridder is like becoming a second home for UND. This will be like their 5th game at Ridder this year, if my math is right, and if they win, that count will go up even more.

While the odds are against it, personally think that the team with the best shot of knocking of the Gophers from here on out will be UND. There is the familiarity factor that cannot be underestimated in a game like this.

A Big Shout out to the North Dakota band for making the trip to support your team!

Do we see you again this coming weekend?

Thanks for the shout out! Unfortunately, with the school on Spring Break and a men's hockey playoff series in town, the band is not available to travel this weekend. We had a great time last weekend, even though the finale didn't go as we would have wished!

Re: North Dakota 2012-13

So, I don't know that North Dakota has ever been impacted first hand by an Olympic year before. Figures to be some impact for part of the 2013-2014 season...at least.

Yeah, never has the impact been potentially as big as it could be this year! Waiting to see what Team Finland does...

Re: North Dakota 2012-13

Not sure I would agree with you assessment on talent, after the Lams there really isn't a lot of talent on the team compared to other top teams. That will be pretty apparent next season when the Lams are gone, that said their coaching isn't all that top notch either. Personally I think he tends to burn out the Lams reducing their effectiveness.

hehe
