I was thinking more of my own experiences. Not too long ago I was the 300lb man (topped out around 360), and I was out there playing hockey while in the 330lb range. People would run into me or I'd bump them (I was very careful about not skating into people for this very reason) and they'd go bouncing off in another direction in an almost cartoon-like fashion. During league play, some idiot tried to deke me out while along the boards. I literally just planted my feet and waited for the guy to stop dancing. As he moved forward, his dancing antics led him squarely into me. The guy goes to the ice after falling back a few feet, gets up to yell at the ref for not calling anything, and the ref is just standing there, shaking his head and laughing at the guy.
With all of that, I know that it takes very little effort for a big man to generate an overly large response from smaller men, especially those whose pride might have been stung throughout the process.
