Well, then, kiss my arse, beech. It's a different opinion. Does not mean I'm not intelligent. I happen to have a different opinion. Deal with it. Aren't liberals supposed to be tolerant of others? ;)

Imagine that...the ******nozzle from Michigan looking down his nose at others. You know who else is acting like an ignorant arse? I will give you a clue, he looks remarkably like you and cheers for 12 teams because none of them are quite good enough :D

The first amendment has nothing to do with the USA's failure to establish a national language, it had everything to do with the Founding Fathers being evenly split between German and English. When they decided that the language impasse couldn't be solved, they decided to drop the subject and move on to other issues.

And this is purely anecdotal, but from what I hear, many residents of foreign countries, who by and large all speak English fairly well, would prefer you speak English than to attempt to mangle their native tongue.

Had, in the past tense. They've been dead for a while now and we still don't. There's a reason for that.

Perhaps some of only travel in groups of morons? I rarely catch sight of an, "ugly American" and certainly no more or no less than ugly Italians and Germans in southern Thailand, South Koreans here, Brits in Bahrain....

Maize posts his opinions on everything and trolls badly as well. Plus he cheers for Michigan (along with a dozen other teams) so he is a double ****** :D

And I've heard that if you honestly try to speak the language, not half-sentences in English/half in native language, they appreciate you trying to learn, instead of having the "attitude" that everyone in the world should know English. Basically, admit you are trying to learn, not half-arse it, etc.

Yes, chances are they will switch to English, if you are mangling the language, but they appreciate the attempt.

That's why it's illegal to play the unedited version of Dire Straits' "Money for Nothing" in Canada now. The line, "Look at that fa**ot, that's the way you do it" - all because the people up there can't understand context. (Hint: Dire Straits wasn't saying anything derogatory against gay men, and Canadians would understand that if they were able to understand the context in which the line was used.)
