Re: Nice Planet 6: Get Me Off This Planet.

"A few media sites" is miles away from what's appropriate here. I assume since you're reluctant to share the data with us that these "media sites" are somewhat less than reliable (the completely unreliable Alex Jones seems to be a particular favorite). Frankly, I don't know or care what has brought you to the point where you suggest "perhaps" there are some good cops and that you "have" to assume they're all bad. But speaking only for myself, this is the last time I'll ever engage you on this moonbattery.
I've always wondered how Alex Jones' signal got through his tinfoil hat....

Re: Nice Planet 6: Get Me Off This Planet.

Flag's idiotic take on cops aside, the two in the Kelly case were wrong and should have been punished. It is cops like them which is why many people dont trust cops.

Re: Nice Planet 6: Get Me Off This Planet.

I'm not following your logic in connecting the explicit actions of bad/corrupt cops with the legislation coming out of Congress. I'm not following it at all.

Oh, let's see, how about... Patriot Act, NDAA, SOPA, TSA, NSA recent activity, among others...

Alex Jones seems to be a favorite because he, along with beforeitsnews.com and joeforamerica.com are the only ones that are actually reporting this. Mainstream media won't do it because they don't want you to know that you'll be shot by a cop for simply being a citizen and not submitting to their violations of your 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 8th amendment rights.

You're addressing bad federal laws and agencies. What do they have to do with a beat cop patrolling a neighborhood? You're making leaps so large that all ten lords would be jealous.

That's because you're not understanding the context of the conversation. You asked, "Why would you allow yourself to be scared of all cops when it's only a small portion of them who are sleazy?" So I ask you, why would this country enforce federal laws and creation of unconstitutional activity, such as what I previously mentioned, over a couple small activities that some even believe the government had a hand in doing? And everyone knows money and assets are flowed through the pipeline to have these "beat cops" enforcing these unconstitutional statutes.

Wow you are one narrow minded, naive little fella aren't you?

Pretty sure if you sort through the 5000 "murders," you would find a signifcantly high percentage are complete justified.

I suppose there is no way, in your opinion, that the piece you linked is not a slightly slanted piece?

It's still a violation of the 6th amendment, and quite possibly the 8th amendment.

In the end credits of the film, Trayvon Martin is listed as having been "murdered." Well, the jury that heard the case acquitted George Zimmerman, who wasn't a cop in any case. If this is an example the standards by which they arrive at their 5,000 cop "murders" of "innocent" civilians, it's no wonder they come across like barking moonbats. Hysteria, exaggeration, misrepresentation and paranoia are not arguments.

Barking moonbats. :D

If I save this beauty for just the right point in an argument with my wife and she kills me with the butcher knife or beats me to death with the rolling pin, is that a murder of an innocent civilian?

Quite apart from your obvious misogyny (rolling pin, indeed) unless she's a police officer, I don't think it would count (at least not in the context we're discussing). Not that you wouldn't deserve it, you understand.

:D That is a serious stretch and not even remotely correct. My memory may not be correct, but the 6th amendment deals with right to speedy trial or something like that, and the 8th regards excessive bail, fines and cruel or unusual punishment.

The police are required to wait until the suspect actually fires its weapon and hits the officer's kevlar vest before the officer may return fire, and only aiming for the suspect's toes.

If you pull a gun on a cop, you should expect to be double-tapped.

At the same time, if you're law abiding, even if you're carrying a gun, you should have an expectation to not be harrassed by police.

It's pretty obvious why this kid was shot - when he adjusted the bat, the trigger-happy cop thought he was pulling a gun. However this whole situation begs the question - what's a 16 year-old doing at 3 AM on the streets of Miami in the first place? Shouldn't his parents be asking themselves that question if it's dangerous enough that he had to arm himself with a baseball bat?
