As I've mentioned, Chicago suffers the equivalent of a Newtown every month. Except the shooters and victims are nearly all black. Some, however, are 6 months old, and presumably precious. Or at they should be. And if there's a solution to the problem, it almost certainly doesn't involve Dianne Feinstein, et al.

Here's a young guy gunned down in the 'burbs because his assailants thought he might be in a rival gang. How is a welter of new federal laws going to impact people who routinely carry guns and are willing to shoot others for the most trivial reasons (in this case, the tilt of hit hat)?

I like how, out of all the exceptions they could devise, the first one that pops to mind is "drowning at sea". As if that happens often in the arid barrenness of Iran. :p

Clearly the religious leaders of Iran need to take action as soon as the sinner returns to their country. Do you think stoning to death or beheading is the most appropriate punishment?

I guess I'm out of the loop. I had to stop reading that article when I learned that the Norwegian guy who killed 77 people was sentenced to 21 years in prison. Huh? I'm guessing there's no death penalty in Norway but how in Parise's name do you only get 21 years for killing that many people? That has to be a typo, right?
