Nice Planet 2012

Re: Nice Planet 2012

I thought this quote summed up some thoughts quite nicely.

What a curiosity our new political correctness has made of our public spaces. Let your sex tape loose on the Internet and be rewarded with your own TV show; photograph a crucifix in a jar of urine and our museums will vie to exhibit it; occupy someone else's property and you will be hailed by the president for your keen social conscience.

But call people who blow up, behead and mutilate "savage"—and polite society will find you offensive.

Another molehill from a mountain moment. Since the vast majority of people already agree with that sentiment who gives a flying flip?

The "vast majority" evidently doesn't include POTUS, who spent a lot of time in his UN speech groveling to Islamists.

So they didn't find Judge Crater under a suburban Detroit garage. Why would anybody care either way? A cheap, two bit hood came to the end of his usefulness to the mob and they whacked him. Besides, how reliable is a "witness" from 40 years after the fact, who claims somebody buried a body in broad daylight in a residential neighborhood? Was this clown on the grassy knoll too?

I always thought that Jimmy was buried at Giants Stadium, but when they tore it down, Jimmy was missing.

Guess the other story I heard that he became dog food may be true.

That or he got dumped out in one of the Lakes while wearing cement shoes.

Urban legend, from what I know. He is long gone. I doubt we'll ever know the truth.

If they had given her the private screening she requested (and to which she is supposed to be entitled), while this whole dog and pony show would still be utterly useless, it wouldn't be as much of a civil rights problem. Instead, they basically treated her like a bag of dirt, then had the gall to tell her she was holding up the line when they were the ones who were responsible for that.

Jeez, that's awful. I thought about posting it but decided not to, hoping someone else would put it up (thanks, Bill). In addition to the obvious, I have a sneaking hunch while they were hassling that lady, Abdul a bull bull Amir could have snuck some C4 right past 'em.

I know I've posted this before, but I think it's one of my one or two favorite outrages by TSA. Joe Foss, WWII hero, Governor of South Dakota and Commissioner of the old AFL, was not permitted to board an airplane because he had something "suspicious" in his possession. It was his Medal of Honor! I guess those neatly uniformed government drones thought the old man was planning to use it as a ninja throwing star. My presumption is those mental defectives had no idea what a Medal of Honor was (probably not as well known in Honduras or Nigeria), more's the pity.

Is anybody ever fired for these outrages? And has TSA ever issued a statement where they admitted they fooked up and apologized?

If they have, there would be a record of it somewhere.

Probably. But here nobody's getting fired apparantly, they issued a press release about how the drones "followed procedures." Honest to God, if they treated my dying wife, daughter, sister, mother that way, somebody would be going down--hard.
