Where to begin? How about the fact that the "perpetrator" here isn't a landlord, isn't limiting who can rent apartments in her complex? She's a Christian lady and wants a Christian room mate. How is this a problem? Who on earth IN HER CHURCH would see the posted ad, then rat her out? And I'm particularly impressed with Ms. Malaprop, who allowed that there were no "exemptions" under the law. Your tax dollars at work.

This is the kind of unconscionable government intrusion into the private lives of Americans which "progressives" love. "If individual Americans won't 'act right' it's up to us to force them to do the right thing." For God's sake, is she even allowed to specify the sex of her prospective room mate? Or that that room mate needs to be a citizen? Or not on the run from the law? Or not a member of a sect which forbids bathing or encourages stealing?

Replace Christian with Muslim, Wiccan, or Atheist and they'd throw a parade instead of citing her and possibly imposing fines.

Would it be ok to specify that you're looking for a Christian on a dating site, or is that discriminating, too? If she had a couple of long-haired dogs, would it be ok to specify that she is looking for a dog-lover? Or would that be discriminatory against people who hate dogs? And would a dog-hating or allergic roommate shoved down her throat by the state then be able to make her get rid of the dogs? This is so obviously ridiculous on its face that I can't believe someone hasn't had the good sense to throw it out. You can't overtly offer for sale or rent to a particular class. But that is not what she was doing. She was looking for a roommate, who will have no protection of a lease if this woman owns the house.

Of course the way around it is instead of describing the roommate you are looking for, describe yourself: Single woman with strong Christian beliefs, whose best friend and savior is her Lord Jesus Christ, is looking for a roommate....... and just scare off those you don't want.

She posted the ad on her church bulletin board. It was someone in her church who called big brother. That's what's so outrageous here to me. You expect government bureaucrats to act like swine, at least I do.

Woman shakes 3 month old to death because the kid interrupted her FARMVILLE game...

Alexandra V. Tobias, 22, was arrested after the January death of 3-month-old Dylan Lee Edmondson. She told investigators she became angry because the baby was crying while she was playing a computer game called Farmville on the Facebook social-networking website.

Tobias told investigators that she shook the baby, smoked a cigarette to compose herself and then shook him again. She said the baby may have hit his head during the shaking.
