NHL 2024: SLC Puck

Not sure if it means anything, but it was interesting how Maurice claims he would not have challenged the offsides when his team challenged. Makes no sense that he would have not- it was a critical goal, and the views were close enough to risk a penalty. Or more that the risk of a penalty was not that high, at least.

But by doing that, he was calling out the other coach? What kind of response was that?

Sounds like a guy who is terrified of Edmonton's PP, and knows his PP is not good enough so far.

The Canadian Curse reigns supreme.

Has to be a curse given how close they were so very many times. Inches from the lead, miss that and Fl scores. And then how many amazing chances did they have in that third? Geez.

Heck of a comeback for Edmonton, though. Looked like a sweep, and they kept the series going until summer.

I liked how Florida came out physical tonight and feel they deserved to win tonight. Not happy they won, but not mad either.

Glad to see Meruelo is finally done in the NHL. Would be nice if he sold the rights to the Coyote name to the new owner if the NHL ever finds one in Phoenix.

Alberta is Tundra Texas, but any Canadian team should be favored over any American team not named the Islanders.

Let’s see, in 1994 I put a curse on the Islanders that they could not win the Cup until more than 54 years had passed since their last win in 1983, thus until 2038. That curse is going well so far.

I can’t say that the curse I put on the Mets in the spring of 1964 held up too well when their fans made a few of my trips home on the subway in my senior year of HS unbearable.

No. The NHL needs to be done with Phoenix. They finally got their successful desert franchise with Vegas, and they need to run from Arizona and never return.

Nearly everything the Coyotes came out with looked great and I don't want Meurelo making money off it in perpetuity.

Phoenix is inevitable, it's going to be the third-largest city in the US soon, as stupid as that is. They just need to give it to competent ownership. Put it in Scottsdale. Blow off the Poors and give every seat a coke dispensary.

Bummer for Edmonton - I didn’t really have a dog in the fight but definitely found myself cheering for the Oilers. would have been happy for the Canadien fans - plus the Panthers are one of the more unlikeable teams in the NHL. Oh well.

Utah seems like an odd choice for the NHL… since I don’t want to bother to look it up - are they playing where the Jazz play? Or some arena leftover from the Olympics or something?

meanwhile the Bruins got fleeced in the Ullmark deal. Ugh.
