Can somebody explain why people think it was rigged?

I would think if the N rigged it it would be ensure Chi didn't get him.

Or is it just large market = big money?

Big media market, beginning a rebuild, and they just lost both their "franchise" players.

The Islanders and Oilers can tell you the beginning of the rebuild is the exact wrong time to get a franchise player. Wait a couple years, and right before the upswing once things have gotten as bad as possible, but with some young guys already installed, then add the star as rocket fuel and don't waste his years under control.

Don't worry about Chicago, they'll get a top 3 pick next season too. Picking right after the Penguins.

I also think part of it was presentation. When you say lottery, it makes it sound that the whole draft order can be mixed up for fan interest, when the reality is that the lottery is pretty much just for the top spot and depending on who wins that, the next one in line.

So when they put that much effort to just copy and paste the original order up until #3, it appears to be odd. And then Weekes points out the change before the pick order is in.

It was kind of a waste of a half hour of time. Much of the first half will be repeated on draft night, when they cover Bedard a lot more and most of the second half was zero drama cut and paste.

Had it not been for the game immediately following, I certainly would not waste any time watching it.

Can anyone explain to me how Arizona lost a first round pick over what seemed to be an accident, while Chicago knowingly ruins multiple peoples entire lives and gets handed a generational player?

Was reading last night their season ticket sales are through the roof. What a complete f’ing joke.

When Las Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Zach Whitecloud scored his first goal of the playoffs Monday, he probably wasn't expecting to be accepting an apology from a well-known ESPN anchor the next day.

The reason for the apology came during a "SportsCenter" after Game 3 between the Golden Knights and Edmonton Oilers. While recapping the 5-1 Golden Knights win, host John Anderson cracked an off-the-cuff joke about Whitecloud when he reached the defenseman's goal, saying his last name would be great "if you're a toilet paper."

So, does Florida finish off the Make Me Laughs tonight in Sunrise? Or do they hold off until Game 5 and wait to break Toronto fans' hearts at Scotiabank Arena in front of a sea of blue & white?

The most Leafs thing to do is to win the next 3, then take a 3-0 lead in game seven at home, and lose. But I think they lose tonight, unless the refs give them a +4 penalty advantage.
