Re: NHL 2018-19 Part 1 - No power outage in Toronto this year!!

Islanders on their way to their 5th straight Cup. (There was no NHL from 1984 through 2018).

Bingo! I was a little concerned about the matchup, but so far, so good. The last time I really followed the NHL Playoffs closely was 1992-1993...and even then, I wasn't all that optimistic that the Isles would go as far as they did. Here's to hoping they can close out the Pens in Game 4, and then keep their momentum going.

You make a deadline deal with the Red Wings for a forward when you have the worst goaltending in the NHL. Wilson ought to be kicked in the *** all the way from Vegas to San Jose for game 5, and should probably hear about this all offseason when Eriksson signs with someone that could win.

How many for Kadri? As a repeat offender, he's looking at 5, minimum.

Thornton will have a hearing.

Hedman doubtful for Game 4. Of course, if the Bolts can't score, who cares who is playing D.

The Penguins have clearly given up on this series and their self ownage in terms of lineup decisions (as well as the GM's stupidity) isn't helping. It'll be interesting to watch NYI vs (most likely) WSH, should be a fun series.

The Barry Trotz Invitational.

That would/will be an amazing series down here in DC, where half the population is from NY. Only thing about that is those immigrants are under 50 so there are no Islanders fans among them. :(

The Flames decided it would be a good idea to play firewagon hockey with the Avalanche.

It wasn't.
