NHL 2018-19 Part 1 - No power outage in Toronto this year!!

Re: NHL 2018-19 Part 1 - No power outage in Toronto this year!!

Columbus had a 2-0 lead on Washington last year.
Lots of hockey left.

Talk about getting taken out behind the woodshed. Bolts have their work cut out for them. Jackets look like the team with best overall record

Re: NHL 2018-19 Part 1 - No power outage in Toronto this year!!

Columbus won the first 2 on the road against the Caps last year.

The Caps had Barry Trotz. Despite having no neck, Trotz was underrated those years he was buried in Nashville with mediocre skating talent and goalies who had to stand on their heads. It took 3 seasons, but he finally got it into Ovie's head that he had to do some backchecking if he wanted to win a Cup.

What has Cooper done with a ton of talent? One Finals appearance, and they lost.

The current iteration of the Lightning are looking kind of like the 1991-1996 Red Wings right now. Plenty of talent throughout the lineup, but haven't figured out the right combination of strategy and mental game to overcome playoff adversity and win the Cup. Sounds a lot like the Caps and the 90s Wings, but perhaps without the coaching to overcome it. We shall see.

First time the Islanders have led a series 2-0 since 1983.

Anyone predict the Isle and Jackets would be up 2 games to none? Yeah neither did I

Good thing you traded for a competent goaltender before the deadline.

I try not to focus on Oskar Sundqvist's teeth, but the darn things just won't let me.

Sh*t, if it had to be a Canadian team I was hoping for Winnipeg, and they are currently trending Lose-ipeg.

Yeah it's Pierre, but based on the video, I wouldn't doubt it.

Tampa Bay Lightning superstar and NHL regular-season leading scorer Nikita Kucherov has been suspened one game for boarding Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Markus Nutivaara late in Game 2 on Friday night, the Department of Player Safety announced.
