A presumably obnoxious Saints fan has really tought his kid a lot about the game.

As a Packer fan, I have to admit that I got a kick out of the Bears and Vikings parts.

That may be one of the dumbest retirement-related things Favre has said yet.

It'd be hilarious it if they were actually mostly Saints fans, or something (or just sick of Favre), and just tanked the season to keep Favre out of the league.

Even if they don't make the CWS, he'll still find a way to come back. That's why this is such a non-story, we all already know he's coming back. He just might not know it yet.

I think at this point he just strings the media along for two months, then flips a coin.

Of course, the NFL can stipulate that, as a condition of having a franchise, team owners give the league ownership of their logos.

But wouldn't that preclude Jerry Jones (and other owners) from making their own marketing deals? I thought the Cowboys (and Raiders?) had opted to do their own licensing above and beyond the league. If the NFL owns the logo, they can't do that.

Awesome! And screw all the namby-pamby VIPs who don't want to go to the game because it'll be cold, there are plenty of real football fans who'll be happy to take their tickets.

Ciskie hates it, therefore I approve.

Football is meant to be played in conditions which force you to draw up solutions for not getting frostbite. The Vikings ought to take this as a signal from the league.
