NFL 2019: Superb Owl and Offseason

Re: NFL 2019: Superb Owl and Offseason

Or, he could have simplified his game package. But it seemed they kept on being the high flying Rams, and expected Goff to not have any issues.

He needed to address his blocking scheme more.... Even with the change to zone, Goff never had enough of a look to start figuring it out.

Re: NFL 2019: Superb Owl and Offseason

Well, the Raiders WILL NOT be playing at AT&T Park next season. SF refuses to waive territorial rights.

Is this where we queue the Benny Hill theme?

Funny the team that plays 55 miles from San Francisco can tell the team that plays (played) 17 miles from San Francisco that they can't play in San Francisco.

Not sure if San Diego is still in play, but if not, I'm with Southie: just go to Sam Boyd. It's already got more capacity than StubHub and while not the ideal part of Vegas, it's at least Vegas and will energize the fan base.

Re: NFL 2019: Superb Owl and Offseason

Why is the NFL intent on eliminating if not all onside kick attempts at least successful ones?

Re: NFL 2019: Superb Owl and Offseason

Why is NFL Network showing AAF games? Shouldn't they be trying to squash competition?

Also, go Express!

Re: NFL 2019: Superb Owl and Offseason

Because they can’t squash everything like an ant. Otherwise they might run afoul of the DOJ.

They have to do it quietly.

Pick your team to follow now or forever be called a front runner later on! :D

In case you need help with names:

Arizona Hotshots.
Orlando Apollos.
San Antonio Commanders.
Salt Lake Stallions.
Atlanta Legends.
Birmingham Iron.
San Diego Fleet.
Memphis Express.

I spose. Steal the good ideas and then shut them down.

Maybe the AAf is the new minor league? Where kids not interested in college go??? Dunno

Heard the players are mostly NFL roster cuts and unsigned free agents. I suspect the XFL will be where the "hotshots who aren't interested in college" end up, at least for the first few years.

Agree that NFL needs a minor league that isn't the NCAA.

Ill go with the Stallions. They are the team tied with the Vikings (and Broncos and Packers...but oh well), so I guess they make the most sense...also the closest team to me.

Re: NFL 2019: Superb Owl and Offseason

Closest team in the AAF or XFL to Michigan is St Louis...

I guess I'll go Birmingham. Maybe San Antonio since that's the only team with an MSU player.

Howie Carr, is that you?!:D

Prices anywhere inside or around the 95 belt are nuts. My girlfriend and I are trying to buy a house this year, as the commute from Lowellish to Watertown is vicious, and as soon as I get to Burlington I can't afford anything other than a postage stamp.
Late to the party here -- but that's why tcbg and I put up with the commute from NH even though he works in Lexington and I work in Burlington. Avg Housing price in Lexington is: $1,003,800; and in Burlington it is $575,300 (per Zillow). We have 1100sqft townhouse with a lofted 3rd floor, gas fireplace, 1 car shared garage for about half of what it would cost to live in Burlington. The downside is that I work nights and still have a 50 minute commute and tcbg has to leave no later than 0530 to get to work in under 60 minutes (if he leaves later, it can take up to 120 minutes).
Rule of thumb for rent in Southie and prob anywhere else in Boston is a thousand dollars per bedroom to start.
And most units don't have private laundry. Some do include heat and hot water.

I'll have to see the unis. Those names are... not good.

Hmm. Of those I like the Iron the best although my god the idea of rooting for a slaver team does not appeal. I wish the Hotspots didn't sound like the Hot Flashes and look like the Packers.

Ah, f-ck it. AZ it is. By the time I retire there they'll be dead anyway.
