Seattle, who lost to St. Louis last week, beating Arizona 30-6.

I think we'll see them in the second half. Seattle is breaking all the rules: they're trying. Also, Carolina's destroying the Bucs so it's a moot point.

Last week I said I wanted GB to lose because it would mean automatically playing Arizona in the divisional round, but with the way the Cousins has been playing the last few weeks I'm not so sure I want to face Washington now.

Losing 38-7 just never looks anything other than ugly. Maybe they think the Seahawks will be too cold to play well next week.

I'm sure coaches/players never want to lose...job security.

Peterson has a lower body injury. Not sure how serious.

We're not even waiting for Monday any more.

Tomsula out in SF, Pettine and GM Ray Farmer out in Cleveland.

They can get in line behind Chip Kelly.

And now for something completely different:

Rex Ryan is the first coach in NFL history to be fired by a team, then eliminate that team from the playoffs on the last day of the next season.

My Packers... A 6-10 team with a 10-6 record.

Christ they've played some awful football in the last three months.

My old college friends and I (mostly, but not entirely, consisting of Packers fans) keep an ongoing email thread that naturally picks up whenever the Packers or Badgers have a game.

I just had this exchange:

Me: Like a moron I'm going to watch next weekend. It's going to suck.

Friend: Queue deserving snark remark by [another friend, who is a Bears fan and pointing out how spoiled the packers fans in the group are for being so miffed at how poorly the packers have played the last three months].

Me: At least [other friend] is free of his 6-10 team for the year. His next weekend is free and not restrained by having to watch them fart around for 3.5 hours instead of watching both Hostel movies or crying on the inside or visiting a burn ward or whatever else he could do with his time that would be more enjoyable.

But my 6-10 team somehow disguised itself as a 10-6 playoff team and now I'm going to force myself to watch 3.5 hours of dropped passes and more redskin penetration than the X-rated version of Custers Last Stand. Because I'm a stupid stupid stupid fan.

MN is all pumped, but tomorrow reality will sink in.....Seattle. I don't expect a win.
