NFL 2015.1 - if the ball weighs as much as a duck, it's a catch!

Weren't there very weak threats of moving to LA if the stadium wasn't built? Looks like it will finally happen with one or two of STL/OAK/SD, but I swear half the league would be in LA if every team that threatened to go actually left.

Correct.
LA reminds me of Tampa and baseball in the 80s and 90s.

There were "threats." Didn't fall for it. Learned our lesson from the whole "Twins to North Carolina/folding" from the Target Field incident.

Wasn't that only a decade out from the very real "Twins no longer existing" incident where the Metrodome actually saved you guys around '02?

Short version, yes. Pohlad threatened to move, "MLB" said they were going to fold the Twins (in reality, Pohlad had volunteered to fold them). It was a mess.

Yes, but after the Twins sneaked through a stadium using the Hennepin County board of directors (I forget their official title), and the Vikings' repeated threats of leaving for LA, we were at the point of just sending them off to the palm trees.

It's funny to watch that compared to Minnesota United's (the soccer team) stadium stuff.

Agreed. I obviously am not a Euroball guy, but hey, if they're paying for it, go for it. I'll support that.

I believe Blair has the second most K points in MN history in a single game (19) behind Rich Karlis (21 points, and source of the Jerry Burns rant). Did some digging, had forgotten about the following:

Rob Bironas connected on 12 of 13 field goals, including an NFL-record eight field goals in one game (52, 25, 21, 30, 28, 43, 29 and 29 yards). I also read that he had 2 XP in that game.

Jay Feely scored 25 points in a game, the most points scored by a player in a single game since October 21, 2007, when Rob Bironas scored 26 against the Houston Texans. (5 FG, 1 XP, 1 rush TD for Feely)

The reporter behind a blockbuster expose that accused Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and other top athletes of sports doping defended the story in an interview with MSNBC on Monday.

Al Jazeera reporter Deborah Davies said Manning has not denied that he had HGH (human growth hormone — a drug banned by the NFL) secretly shipped to his wife in 2011 while he was still with the Indianapolis Colts and recovering from a neck injury.

"He's not answering the allegation that is in the program," Davies insisted.

Things are bad in Indy. How bad? Josh Freeman came in for a workout today. Josh. Freaking. Freeman.

Clipboard gets busted partying again.

You know, if you're going to party, you don't have to post it on social media....

Kids today.

I'm starting to get on Manziel's side. He obviously DGAF, his family has more money than he'd ever earn with the NFL, and he's a nice counterpoint to the rhythmic self-stroking that is the NFL's piety machine.

Counterpoint: Gronk is what Johnny COULD be. Gronk ain't exactly a tee-totaler.

AND F CJ ANDERSON TO HELL.

Unless Emmanuel Sanders finds a miraculous way to get 55 points, I have won my FFL championship. First time in a longggg time, feels dang good. Nice chunk of change coming my way.
