Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

He ain't no bandleader (9-0) +7 vs Shiancoe
No Scrubs (8-1) +58 and Packers D/ST vs Finley
Somewhere over the Dwayne Bowe (5-4) Packers D/ST vs -6
Manning's Neck Brace has lost to fall the 5-4-1
Dan Patrick Show (3-6) +66 vs Rodgers
You do realize that your team name should be Somewhere over Dwayne Bowe, not somewhere over THE Dwayne Bowe right?
say it a bit retarded...it's "somewhere over da wayne bowe"

I've seen it both ways.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Matt Leinart (!) will start for the Texans against the Jaguars in two weeks.

Someone on GPL caught this before it got changed:

Wiki:
This type of injury classically occurred when a horseman fell while riding, having trapped his foot in the stirrup or fallen into a drain. At present, such an injury happens typically in activities such as windsurfing (where participants' feet are in foot straps that pass over the metatarsals), or when one steps into a hole and the foot twists heavily. Falling from a height of two or three stories can also cause this fracture. American football players occasionally get this injury, often when they have their foot pointing down and someone lands on their heel. Matt Schaub, quarterback for the Houston Texans, is a football player that possibly suffered a lisfranc fracture. If he does have a lisfranc fracture, the Texans are done.

:D :D :D

Not to get into semantics (also: kneeling while saluting?), just saying that this wasn't a TO/Ocho celebration type thing.
I know what you're saying, and I agree. It's just that if he wanted to honor our veterans, then he should have been standing and using the correct hand.

I also understand what you're saying. I just hope the NFL doesn't fine him. Spirit of the law, not the letter, all that jazz.

Watching the Broncos. Tebow just actually tried to run the triple option. I mean, Oklahoma-Nebraska, circa 1984, triple option. They're going to * around and get somebody killed with this stuff.

I may dislike Tebow's religious views, but he's not going to have a high quality of life if he gets beat to heck with the inevitable abuse his body is going to take running that offense.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

He's going to be out of the NFL in 3 years, either by injury or inability to run a professional offense. John Fox is going to get fired by the end of next year if he continues to run this offense, because teams are going to adjust, and they won't be able to move the ball across the street, let alone down the field.
