Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Tebow doesn't bother me in the slightest. If he wants to pray after he scores, that's not any less acceptable than these trite touchdown dances that every single player has now. What bothered me about the coverage (which he obviously can't control) is when he's getting all the credit for a win when he only put up 13 points in the game. One time his kicker had to boot a 59 yarder to tie and a 51 yarder to win in OT. That guy was "magic" that day, not Tebow.

This.

And also, for all those who say "all he does is win" as a legit reason as to why he's a good QB, and not just a decent RB that can kinda throw...

Trent Dilfer: 1 SB Ring. He just won, right?
Marino, Kelly: 0 rings.

Who's a better QB? ;)

Dilfer is a better QB, he won a Super Bowl. That's why you play. Stats are nice, but useless. It's about the ring!

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

If you win a ring, you can work at Fox on Sundays. If you don't, you get relegated to CBS.

People that cite a team accomplishment or lack thereof as evidence of a player's greatness or lack thereof need to have their reproductive organs forcibly removed so their idiocy does not continue to pollute the gene pool.

The one thing Tebow has going for him in that regard is that after he took over QB for a losing Broncos team they started winning. He's not THE reason the turn around happened, but he did contribute by not committing turnovers and helping the run game.

Bill Cowher and Phil Sims.

I was only 1-3 last weekend on predictions. That means 3 of NO, DEN, HOU, NYG are going to win this weekend.

You mean other than the 13 fumbles? Cam Newton had about the same number of carries as Tebow and only fumbled five times.

Too bad he doesn't know how to swim in water! :p

Apparently the son is just as looney tunes as the dad as the Raiders can Hue Jackson.

It depends on who they hire I guess. There's a lot of good coaches out there (Cowher, Fisher, Gruden, Billick, even M Shottenheimer) with a proven track record. I don't understand how Norv Turner has a job and some of these guys don't. I've heard Fisher to Miami and obviously Gruden isn't going back to Oakland, but some of these other guys could do the job.
