Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Once again, the NFL needs to the right thing and give the Bills Tebow. It's the only way we can balance out the bad energy around our team.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

BREAKING NEWS: Majority of NFL teams have just launched a campaign to put Tim Tebow on the cover of next year's Madden.;)

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Weather forecast for Saturday in San Francisco is low 60s, with only 10% chance of rain. Good news for New Orleans.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

Maybe the Steelers took it for granted that Tebow couldn't beat them...for the #1 defense, they looked very mortal. Every third play they left some guy wide open and just assumed Tebow wouldn't be smart enough or have enough time to find him...I know he isn't Joe Montana but you can't give him that many opportunities.

They do that and we might start hearing the sound of trumpets and see funny looking guys on horses showing up.

*realizes what year it is*

...Oh. Crap.

Okay, another week of Tebow $#@%. However, I'd rather face Denver than Pittsburgh as our secondary sucks and would get picked apart by even half crippled Roethlisberger. I can't believe the Steelers didn't pick off some of those wounded ducks Tebow was throwing up but clearly it wasn't their day.

You say that right now foolish mortal..... Better be careful of what you wish for. ;)

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

You know, for all the crap he gets...Tebow is the best thing to happen to Christianity in ages.

A positive role model who uses his faith to improve his life and the lives of others instead of as an excuse to tear people down, actually follows the teachings of the really nice guy with the beard, and is clearly happy with the role of his faith in his life. Christianity needs a positive influence to win people over from the "everyone else is gonna burn in hell cuz t3h Bibble tells me so" mess the fundies have landed them in. I hope and pray (sigh) he doesn't go all derpy. I'd rather have Tim Tebow as the face of my faith than Pat Robertson, that's for sure.

Tebow doesn't bother me in the slightest. If he wants to pray after he scores, that's not any less acceptable than these trite touchdown dances that every single player has now. What bothered me about the coverage (which he obviously can't control) is when he's getting all the credit for a win when he only put up 13 points in the game. One time his kicker had to boot a 59 yarder to tie and a 51 yarder to win in OT. That guy was "magic" that day, not Tebow.

Re: NFL 2011: The Suck for Luck edition

#TebowJesus is the only QB in NFL history to complete 3 passes for 50 yards or more in a single postseason game. Just sayin.

/posting this mainly to ruffle Brent's feathers a bit, as well as some of the other haterade drinkers.

QB's receiving way too much credit for a win is hardly anything new though...
