NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Well, it appears Pioli was the evil genius in New England, not Belichick. Way to gut your offense in a year when your offense is probably your best shot to even make the playoffs for a third rounder. Also makes AJ out in San Diego look pretty stupid for not taking what he could get for an inferior wideout in Vincent Jackson.

The Saints won and we're still here.

Or maybe this is the different universe and we have no memory of what came before. It would explain that nasty rash.

When I was a kid, the worst franchises in football were the Bucs, Pats, Saints and Cardinals. one of them has yet to win a Super Bowl.

If AIC wins anything, i think the Mayan calender is correct about the End Time.

Don't forget Clarkson. :D

I guess Buffalo's home sellout streak is still alive because it doesn't look like the game is blacked out.

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Flint and Lansing are not Detroit...notice Grey area for the CBS Early game is only Detroit...not Flint or Lansing.

In the NFL, any broadcaster that has a signal that hits any area within a 75-mile (120 km) radius of an NFL stadium may only broadcast a game if that game is a road game, or if the game sells out 72 hours or more before the start time for the game.[5] If sold out in less than 72 hours, or is close to being sold out by the deadline, the team can sometimes request a time extension.

Detroit doesn't get a doubleheader because they don't sell out. Flint and Lansing's signals are within 75 miles of Detroit, so they can't show the Lions.

I offered a guy (who has Mike Bell as his second running back in a league where you have to start two running backs) Steven Jackson for Kyle Orton. He rejected the offer (reasonable) and offered me Orton for Chris Johnson. After I compose myself from my hysterical laughter, what's the appropriate way to respond? (I've also got Peyton Hillis and Jahvid Best, so I'm trying to deal from a position of strength to improve my QB situation, where I only have Eli Manning.)

Interesting stat I saw in the Wall Street Journal today, Randy Moss will not have a bye week this year. Sixth time since 1990 that's happened.

Only second time in history that a player will have played back to back Monday Night Football games.

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Dennis Miller has presented a couple of Steelers in NFLN's "Top 100 NFL's Greatest Players," and his lines could not be falling any flatter. He's going for laughs but there's no live audience or even any reaction whatsoever from the interviewer.

He also thinks Joe Namath was one of the top five QBs ever, which should have disqualified him as a potential MNF announcer before it ever happened.

Oy, now Matt Millen of all people is presenting Mike Haynes. And naturally they forget his entire Patriots career.

He plays when he wants to play, so he'll get his bye week in over the course of 2-3 games. :p
