Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

It's really a shame that Florida didn't lose this weekend. With the Cowboys losing today, it would have been awesome to watch the ESPN football analysts mope around the office all week. Oh well. 1 for 2 ain't bad. :D

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

that post actually makes no sense. but whatever

Why not? By choosing not to kick the field goal, he's saying he doesn't trust Rackers enough to kick there. By choosing to punt, he's saying he doesn't think his defense can handle Washington getting the ball in such good field position.

by punting he did show he trusted his defense more than his kicker. i guess when he goes to kick the short FG here, you will say he doesnt trust his quarterback?

Last week, it's Arian Foster. This week, it's LeSean McCoy. I can't catch a break in one of my leagues.

Edit: same league, guess who my starting RBs are? Ryan Mathews and Michael Turner. Whoopee!

Ryan Matthews has blown so far. Playing him over Moreno is going to cost me the win this week.

So wait. A guard can look between his legs, look up, move his arm to tap the center to tell him to snap it, and somehow, none of this counts as movement?

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Wow, the Colts are destroying the Giants.

I don't understand how they ruled the Eli fumble as recovered by the Giants, and then some official somewhere decides that no, it was recovered by the Colts. It was a pile of players that surrounded the ball, I don't see how you could definitively switch that call.

At any rate, the way the two teams are playing, the Colts would have probably still driven down the field for this late TD. Eli's not making great throws, not even counting the interception into triple coverage on failed play action.

P.S. Cowboys and Redskins lost today. :)

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Jay Cutler played the best game I've ever seen him play -- and the best game I've seen a QB play this season.

I hate to cite the media as a source, but Joe Buck said during the Bears' second drive, "It's going to be a long day for Jay Cutler," and "Cutler is going to need help getting to the bus."

He hung in there, took his hits, found his guys, and made the plays. I don't like him, but he was the star of the day IMO.

Although I do think the Cowboys are much better off playing the conservative Landry-style four-man rush. They seemed to sell out quite a bit today, and I'm not sure they needed to. Coaching staff panicking a bit?

Wow, the Giants are not good. :(

Fantasy league 1: Up 50 points (thanks Michael Vick, Dez Bryant, Darren McFadden), opponent has Frank Gore and Pierre Thomas going tomorrow night. I think that's a pretty safe lead.
Fantasy league 2: Lost. Down 6 points (Giants D worth negative points, wonderful) and no more guys playing for me.
Fantasy league 3: Up 63 points (54 of it from Jahvid Best, holy crap), opponent has Robert Meachem and Saints D going tomorrow night. Also seems pretty safe.

Main League: won by 11. 2-0.
USCHO League: 1-1 most likely, up by 14 against SF D.
GPL League: 1-1. Down by 50. Faced LeSean. And my RB's were Mathews and Turner.

Re: NFL 2010 - Cap & Trade

Wow. ESPN now talking about the sparkle in Michael Vick's eye and comparing him to Magic Johnson leading his team up the floor.

One problem: Magic actually won something in his life. Well, unless holding on to beat the Lions counts as winning.
