Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

So we have photographic proof the Patriots did the same wall thing as the Jets? No outcry? ;)

Uhhh no. The video below is from six years ago, is during a pass play and one could argue that the Evil One is actually trying to get out of Harrison's way. The Colts manage to whine about everything else; why didn't this come up?

The wall you're thinking of is used on a punt play and was demonstrated quite well by the Jets last week. Maybe if the rest of the team could tackle as well as the coaches, they wouldn't be in danger of missing the playoffs. Then again, on the field of play they aren't allowed to take cheap shots on defenseless players...

To sum up: One coach /= a wall.

PITTSBURGH (AP)—Steelers linebacker James Harrison(notes) will use money given him by fans to help pay his NFL fines to throw a Christmas party for needy children and their families.

As Harrison accumulated $125,000 in fines for four different infractions, fans began sending him money to help pay them. Many were sent anonymously, so Harrison could not return them.

Harrison decided last month to take the money and start the James Harrison Family Foundation, a nonprofit organization that will assist children in emergency situations. The foundation’s first event will be a brunch with Santa Claus at Heinz Field on Saturday, with other Steelers expected to attend.

The foundation is designed to aid children with illnesses or disabilities and families in crisis situations.

Maybe Rush was right after all?

Donovan McNabb to second string. Then to third string. Then no guarantee that he’ll be back next season. The ever-dramatic Washington Redskins upset the NFL apple cart once again yesterday when coach Mike Shanahan announced Rex Grossman as his starter for the rest of the season, beginning with Sunday’s game at Dallas.

McNabb will be the No. 2 quarterback against the Cowboys, then drop to No. 3 behind Grossman and John Beck for the final two games of the season.

And after that?

“I also told him,” Shanahan said, “that I cannot guarantee him that he will be back next year.”

Aaron Rodgers is officially out for tomorrow. No doubt hurting fantasy owners everywhere. Matt Flynn starts, no doubt hurting Packers fans everywhere.

It's Daniel Snyder + Mike Shanahanigans. You think anything is going to make sense/go right/etc out there?

This is why I'm not terribly disappointed in missing the FFL playoffs. My starter? ARodg. My backup? Matt Cassel. Talk about bad timing.

Thank you for not drafting Tom Brady. :D

Like I care. My point is that your QB's get injured. :p

I hardly think an emergency appendectomy really counts. ;)

Now having said that, I'd chuckle if BradyChrist got hurt before their post-season.

I'm hating on yahoo and my own laziness this morning...I got up, checked on collie...set him to start and walked away...looked again to find out I had to enter my password to make a lineup change today...collie is on my bench instead of me having 18 points from him already and Im facing Peyton Manning in my league semifinals.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Jags cheating to score points against the Colts. Simulated fair catch and runs a punt back for a TD.

Re: NFL 2010: $25K Fine For Talking About Fines

Austin Collie down again. Neck/Head injury it looks like. Fans in Indy screaming for a flag but I dont see where you would call something.
