You know how some teams have a specialist in the bullpen that comes in to get one batter out? Chan Ho "ly Balls, Another One Just Left The" Park is like that, except he's the "specialist" you bring in when you 're concerned that your lead is too large or your deficit too small.

I think your order is a bit messed up there.

Health is a freaky bugaboo this year though. They avoided any major catastrophes last year outside of A-Rod missing the first month and Posada's general month out with random ailment. This season has just been goofy.

Pitching has to be better though. The bullpen sucking farts is a let down.

Nope they are definitely closer to the collage age youthful youngsters. :rolleyes: Are you that ****ing obtuse? Or do you just have this need to be correct on everything in the Yankee universe here on USCHO? I couldn't possibly be commenting on Posada or Johnson, could I?

Johnson was a risk signing. Can't get worked up about that. Posada hurts himself every year. Again, used to that by now.

Why complain about it? Why so serious?

Yanks brought back and signed Chad Gaudin yesterday for the bullpen after releasing him in Spring Training. To make room for Gaudin, Boone Logan was optioned back to WB/S and minor league RHP Shane Lindsay was dropped from the 40-man roster and designated for assignment. With Aceves having recurring back trouble, the Yanks shored up the bullpen.

Lets hope Javy has another good outing tonight.

Dropping Gaudin in the first place was pretty foolish, I thought. It's very apparent they need that long man out of the bullpen so they can stop dicking around with Javy Vazquez.

i think they saw mitre as the replacement for gaudin.. but when they swapped mitre with vazquez in the rotation, they didnt want to use javy as a long man.. didnt make much sense (Especially with aceves out; and pettite aching at the time)

i didnt care for logan, but this is more dicking around - in the sense that we have 2 long men/spot starters. and one less specialist.

i guess you still have marte out there, and making sure you have guys to start each game is most important.. and i like i said, logan was pretty bad anyway.

Boone Logan will not be missed at all. He blows. He was there because he was a lefty and somehow he was worse than Phil Coke. Coke was like getting an instant death with his homers, Logan was a slow, bleeding death with the walks and hits.

Rumors in NY press are that Aceves might need season ending back surgery.
