I expected a -1 (on a 1-10 scale). I'd actually put it at about a 4. Obvious jokes were obvious, but I can't say it was a horrible movie. I will say "arrow roulette" FTW! I can't believe my childhood friends and I never thought of that, and we did some really stupid sh*. :o

I liked it more than I thought I would as well. Salma Hayek and Maria Bello might have had something to do with it. Madison Riley and Jamie Chung definitely did.

Godfather series all week on AMC for the 40th anniversary of the first one. First one is playing right now and again on Wednesday. 2nd one on Tuesday and thursday. All 3 in order on Friday starting at 830 AM. Suprised they didnt just go with the first two again...

Since its the 40th anniversary and all it would have been nice if AMC would have been able to show them with limited interruption. Maybe just one break every hour for like 5 minutes or something. Probably could have found a sponser to do that.

They seem to be doing just the opposite. maybe the idea is it will annoy people enough that they'll just buy the DVDs.

Funny thing is I already do own the DVDs...and I was still watching it on TV.

I watched Drive, and I really liked it. Its a very well done movie. If you're going into it expecting an action movie, you may be disappointed, because it isn't an action movie, but something more than that. The long stretches without anyone talking didn't bother me, because it just worked with this movie.

Finished Girl with the Pearl Earring. Fascinating, strongly emotional, well-acted, well written, very well shot. Solid A.

I just watched Traitor with Don Cheadle. Pretty good. The thing is it's a bit of a message movie, and I suspect that someone who doesn't already agree with the message probably won't like the movie.

Finally saw Hanna. I liked it, but it isn't anything super-awesome. The very end was pretty badass though. I feel like I would have liked it more if there was even more of Saoirse Ronan killing the eff out if people, but I suppose her character wouldn't have had sufficient time to grow then.

Watched it the other day myself. Pretty much agree with you. I kind of wish they would have at least given some mention to how communications, power, etc were being kept online, especially in the cities that were hard hit. Somewhere online I saw someone mention that if you think about the actual numbers of infected/dead it was a pretty small % of the population actually so as long as you kept people isolated and were careful I suppose you could keep those things up an running. Just would have liked to see that mentioned at least. Also would have liked to see some kind of defininte conclusion to Jude Law's charcter's story. Im sure he would have been prosecuted and what not, just wanted to see it.

I thought that Contagion was ok, but even that was pushing it. I don't know why, but it just didn't do anything for me, and I was left bored. I do think that Jude Law's character should have been strung up like a side of beef, though.

I really liked this one. It actually made you use your brain a little. The acting was pretty good, and while the foreshadowing was way over the top obvious, I didn't mind it, because of how they got to the result of the foreshadowing. And anyway, Terrance Stamp kinda rules.
