Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

Review of Argo written by an Iranian emigre here.

One of the very few movies I'd be interested in seeing from watching the trailer.

Also, the science fiction book that the fictitious movie is supposed to be based on, Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny, is one of my all-time favorite books of any kind.
I like "For a Breath I Tarry"

Oldie but Goodie -- Rented "It Takes a Thief". Cary Grant and Grace Kelly -- Class x 2

Watching Hoosiers...never gets old!

Finally got around to Taken. It's ok if you can believe a geriatric can hammerpunch several assailants while dodging machine guns at close range. ;) I had other problems with it, but it was entertaining for sure and I put 2 at the top of my Netflix queue for whenever it comes out.

It's Liam Neeson kicking arse. What's not to like?

Is Geoff Peterson the name of the actor behind the robot skeleton's voice or the name of the robot skeleton itself?

Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot

The actors name is Josh Thompson...Geoff Peterson is the name of the robot.

BTW he does a killer Morgan Freeman too...in fact Morgan Freeman said it is the best he ever heard

Watched "perfect host" on Netflix tonight. A pretty good flick with a lot of twists in it. I would recommend watching it.

Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter

Loved it. It was all I hoped it would be and more. Fun popcorn flick with a decent amount of heart.

The negative reviews that I read on Amazon seem mostly in comparing it to the book. I didn't read the book.

In the Land of Blood and Honey. Absolutely gripping movie that smartly mixes in a story about people that knew (and even loved) people from the 'other side' while portraying how devastating the war was. Hard to believe these types of events are still happening even in 'modern times'.

Hard Candy

Well, that was um....creepy and disturbing. Good movie, but wow. I feel like I need to douse myself in bleach after watching that.

Yeah that sounds about right, especially after one certain scene right?

The whole beginning until they get to his place I was squirming a bit. But I do know what scene you are talking about. Ew.
