Re: New/Rented Movies: Insert Random Retread Of A Plot
They get Indiana Jones too? Oh great, now we get to see Shia LeBeuf as Indy.

Yes, Indiana Jones was included. The article made that franchise sound like almost an afterthought, though. They get Indiana Jones too? Oh great, now we get to see Shia LeBeuf as Indy.![]()
Disney is buying Lucas Films.

Boo.
The only silver lining is Lucas' limited involvement in what would probably become the gritty reboot of the Star Wars trilogy. But even without George Lucas involved, there's only so many things that can be done to keep Brett Ratner and Michael Bay away from those things.
And really, at this point, any change or new attempt at adding to it is just going to keep making it worse.
Maybe Disney will just re-release the non-special editions. Yeah, that's what they paid $4 billion for.
Just wait for the Star Wars - Pirates of the Caribbean crossover movie.
With the Disney credit playing right before the 20th Century Fox credit (assuming they keep it).I want the non-defaced original films on blueray, Disney make this happen!

Kind of weird to think: the new movies won't have the 20th Century Fox intro.
They might still have that. I was reading a story last night (read too many on the subject and now can't find the one to quote) that stated Disney wouldn't do much with the Indiana Jones title due to the entanglement with Paramount as distributor. The story then went on to say that 20th Century Fox retained certain rights to the franchise for distribution, but that wouldn't be an impediment to Disney. So we will likely see the 20th Century Fox logo to continue opening the future movies. With the Disney credit playing right before the 20th Century Fox credit (assuming they keep it).

Am interested in The Man With The Iron Fists or whatever it is. RZA and approval from Tarantino? Those are plusses.
Plus Lucy Liu is hot.
Wanna see this in the theater as the visuals look good.
Dunno how much you are into rap, but RZA was part of the Wu Tang Clan group, who were huge fans of kung fu movies, etc. It's not like some random crossing over by a rap star. I still have my doubts, but as the reviews roll in....I might have to see this in theaters.
"The House Of Flying Daggers" is my favorite of that "Crouching" re-birth. "Hero" was quite excellent, though. For an older movie, "Fist Of Legend" (Bruce Lee remake with Jet Li) was also excellent, and has one of the best realistic fight scenes I've seen (blindfold scene) in these movies. All I have is Wu Tang Clan Forever. Didn't recognize RZA as a member when you mentioned.
After Crouching Tiger and Hero it seemed like there'd be a parade of these great (non-cheesy) martial arts flicks. Kill Bill was great too. Since then? Not so much. Oh yeah, and Kung Fu Hustle.
So what happens when Q gets into the game again? Hoping...
